You said you use a HDMI -> VGA converter since you use direct_video? I have no experience with these but do they actually work with the wonky resolutions the PSX throws at them?

Does the Monitor you use support the resolution and refresh rate of the PSX? I have the same issue on my VGA Monitor which doesn't like the refreshrate of the PSX (it is not a TV after all). Reason is, PSX Core doesn't support scanline doubler (forced_scandoubler=1) which would be needed in such a situation. Only option I have is to enable vga_scal...

Well, right now I already got my own setup of a MiSTer A500 skinwalker which already has space for the floppy drive alotted. So I would only be interested as support of the project itself. I'll try to contact them and ask about the space for the physical disk drive.

Question: Does the board block the space for a floppy drive? Because I want to keep the option for a proper drive if that option ever becomes a reality

I'm not certain that the OPL3 setting actually fits an AdLib Gold (OPL3 only refers to the Yamaha chip and that was used on e.g. Soundblaster 16 cards as well iirc). Not quite sure ao486 does the whole AdLib Gold card. Have you tried Soundblaster setting?

Cheers. I've got a Amiga 500 Case with keyboard on my workbench that just begs to be filled with the MiSTer. Adding a proper floppy to it would be the icing on the cake:D

Any plans the floppy patch will eventually find its way into the core? Or will this stay an enthusiasts project?
