Can the changes in this fork be merged into the official core? Looks like some interesting features.

Re: Sega SG-1000 (& SC-3000 + SF-7000)
Some additional (hopefully useful) information: IIRC the gentleman on Discord that talked of the popularity of the SC-3000 and SF-7000 was affiliated with this preservation site: http://www.sc-3000.com/ It seems in addition to the cart/card/floppy software, there was also quite a bit on tape. Additionally, this site (https://sites.google.com/site/m...

And one rabbit hole later, here is some useful info and links if anyone likes a challenge for the Casio calc:

Re: TI-83 and Other Calculators
I posted that link in Discord a while back (I think). IIRC Birdy seemed slightly interested, but I don't think it went anywhere. I am also very likely misremembering.

Re: TI-83 and Other Calculators
There is also the Casio CFX 9850 Series from the 90's. I actually had this in high school (my parents meant well). Looks like there are some games for it floating around. Though I don't see any FPGA implementations and haven't looked at the specs.

Re: TI-83 and Other Calculators
There is an FPGA implementation in VHDL with a GPL-3.0 license.

iPad Screen Modelines
Does anyone have the proper iPad screen modeline settings for this core? I typically use atrac17's modelines for all cores in his repo, but I don't see anything in his github yet.

Re: Ok let's talk seriously about a MiSTer handheld...
I personally, would LOVE a MiSTer handheld. I also would gladly pay the earlier estimated $500 for it. Using a Switch style form factor makes sense as there is a plethora of controllers and accessories that could be adapted. Also, there are several adapters that allow you to attach the controllers in vertical or horizontal orientation. Please conti...

Re: Serial User Port (IO Board) Switcher
I agree most usb splitters/switchers will have active components and would likely damage the MiSTer or IO Board. However, old school manual data switches have no active electronics installed and mechanically move connections to complete a circuit, which is roughly equivalent to completely unplugging one connection, then plugging in a new one. I wou...

Re: Serial User Port (IO Board) Switcher
Like an old-school data switch would work. These are usually completely passive. However, two issues. 1. You'd need either an io board that uses a db9 serial connector instead of usb3; or you'd need to make a usb to db9 adapter. 2. This would increase the over cable length travel between mister and user port device, which can cause issues (MT32-PI)...

Re: Nintendo VS. System & PlayChoice-10
I agree completely with djb_rh, that in *my* ideal world, accurate re-implementation should be the ultimate goal, for all the reasons stated. This goes hand in hand with "just play the game". To 'play' a Playchoice-10 isn't the same 'experience' as simply playing the ROM on a NES. Yes I *do* *REALLY* want that second screen, because that ...

Re: Flux works!
I (fellow guy in the US) had also never heard of this. For others, here's a quick link to a synopsis.

Going to have to give this a go. While I'm completely ignorant in the subject, would love to get into some music production using retro methods. This could be another tool in that tool belt. Thanks!

Re: Nintendo VS. System & PlayChoice-10
I found this thread as I thinking along the same lines with the SNES based Nintendo Super System arcade hardware. Would love to see this implemented for VS. Super Mario Bros. (I know there is a rom converted for NES). But would be great to preserve (and enjoy) this piece of Nintendo history.

Re: PC88 Core
Finally had time to play around with this core today (to try a round of Super Mario Bros. Special). First and foremost thanks to Puu for creating this. A few notes for those trying to get this working: - I used pgimeno's script a few posts back to create a working boot.rom - I also see the screen shifted down like teller does - I have several rom s...

Re: Nand2Tetris/Hack Core
I'm taking a class based on the Coursera / Nand2Tetris course as well and had the same thought of trying to make the core. Glad to see someone else had the same thought. I'll have to check this out after the class is finished. I think it would be great to have a 'Hack' core here for further educational value, or perhaps a write up guide to help oth...

Re: 3D LCD shutter glasses support?
Hahaha, glad to be of help :) I'm trying to remember what the official expensive glasses were on the Amiga. Someone said they looked like 'nerd welder goggles from planet Mongo' compared to Sega's 'Snoopy's Joe Cool glasses'. There was at least one demo 3D game for it, which worked with my setup. EDIT: I remembered, they were the Haitex X-Specs 3D...

@ccovell, @LamerDeluxe Thank you both for the information...aaaannd...curse you both for ripping open a huge rabbit hole that I will inevitably be going down and obsessing over for the next weeks to months  Very interesting stuff. Never new about the SFC or that such glasses were usable on the Amiga. Just when I thought I had gotten over colle...

Re: 3D LCD shutter glasses support?
Interesting point about SNAC. I never got to experience the hardware 3D glasses growing up. Two questions for the gang here. 1. I assume if the glasses were to work with SNAC or through some user port adapter, these would be synchronized with a CRT signal and would not correctly work with a modern HDMI display, correct? 2. Someone mentioned you can...
