Re: Simulating CRT scanlines for Guncon?

I give up. You're not getting anything at all and not understanding the limitations of LCD sample and hold displays. It won't work, your suggestion won't work. If it was that easy to just put a shader, light guns on LCDs would have been solved by people a lot smarter than us who made the consoles in the first place.

Re: Simulating CRT scanlines for Guncon?

I'm pretty sure you're still not grasping how a CRT displays an image on screen vs an LCD. A CRT is a scanning electron beam and a flat panel is doing a "sample and hold" display where it keeps the pixel lit until it's told a new value. You keep confusing the scan beam with a scan line. A light gun is literally looking for a dot on the s...

Re: Simulating CRT scanlines for Guncon?

The scan lines you see when filming isn't how the beam is moving, that's just a de-sync in camera frame rate vs the sync rate of the beam. Your beam is moving the horizontal length of your monitor and back, 240 times, 60 times a second. The light gun is not looking for a slow moving scan line. It's looking for where the actual beam is during the sc...

Re: Horizontal scan artifacts with some (not all) arcade cores using MiSTerCADE in TMNT JAMMA cabinet

I might give another shot at an SD card compile as well. Your mention of the DAC gave me the idea of plugging in the HDMI to see if the digital video was showing the same artifacts (would then make the issue core/de-10 related) but now I can't get HDMI out of the DE-10. I removed the MiSTercade, put in my old SD card that was formatted when it was ...

Horizontal scan artifacts with some (not all) arcade cores using MiSTerCADE in TMNT JAMMA cabinet

Hello, I'm wondering if there's some idea of the issue I'm seeing below from two games as an example, but there are more showing similar issues. This is something that is not consistent across cores, nor is the issue consistent within the same game. https://misterfpga.org/download/file.php?id=5733 https://misterfpga.org/download/file.php?id=5734 Ba...

Can't view scripts I copy into /scripts folder

I've put the update all script into my scripts folder. However, when I go into running scripts, I don't see it in there. There's a whole list of scripts, none of which are in the folder (Samba, update, update jtcores, xow on/off, etc) and the only one I see that was in my script folder is "wifi". Am I missing something why I cannot see th...
