Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

Update: After the MiSTer Linux Update from today I am able to boot into games. Looks like you missed to use the latest unstable mister main. It is know implemented into the main. I didnt, which is why I answered here. Maybe the wind blew from the wrong direction last time or solar flares did interfere :) ok but if the main update solved the issue ...

I haven't got any issues like this as you save the settings separately for the neogeo cd version.

I had similar issues when Region and Bios combination were wrong.
After changing these to the game it worked.

That can be it. I have the latest and everything works like a charm.

Hey guys To all who already have a finished LED matrix. I ordered these as mentioned on the webpage https://esp32trinity.com/: 64x32 P3 Matrix display https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_dYz5DLt As they are P3, they are slightly larger then the OP case and 3D prints. Is there a test you can run to see if it improves PSX core sound latency? It's sort of crazy these settings have never been played with until now.

You mean the 0.1ms latency when all 24 channel are in use at the same time? Which occours almost never? Which can be solved by using the dual SD RAM core? ;)

Re: Can’t Get Neo Geo Games in Arcade Folder to Play?

I started to check the mras from BlackWine Github: including the alternatives there are 246 of them Next step is checking which roms I am missing. So far the only problems I found were missing symlinks as I previously used the files from his Patreon and are older. These games were not yet implemented. So (not very) far so good. Why so complicated?...

Re: Can’t Get Neo Geo Games in Arcade Folder to Play?

What about neogeo.zip? What about having the zips in games/NEOGEO and symlinks from games/mame to /games/NEOGEO in order not to waste space? What about placing the mras in Arcade/ NEO GEO for convenience? Thanks for the Github link as his Patreon has an earlier version which is what I use. Now I have to figure out what are the differences with the...

That sounds like you dont have the needed roms in the mame and or maybe the rbf file is missing in the arcade cores folder.

It is a little more complicated than that.

Re: Can’t Get Neo Geo Games in Arcade Folder to Play?

You can still find it all on github under blackwine fork of the neogeo core.

https://github.com/blackwine/NeoGeo_MiSTer

You need the:
MRA files in the arcade folder
RBF core file in the arcade/core folder
Darksoft Roms zipped in games/mame folder

That is how i have it and it works fine.

Neo Geo Arcade Core Dip Switch Saving

Has anyone tried the arcade version of the Neo Geo core with rbf and mras? It works great but the only thing that buggers me is that when i change the soft dips it does not save. You have to change things like difficulty, time, lives and blood every time you start a game. Is there a fix or trick to save the soft dips? BTW the soft dip saving works ...

Re: Taito Egret II Mini Rollerball/Spinner Controller

Oh ok yes in the main osd yes. But that first press is only for the system to identify which controller you want, it does set any button to any dpad direction. Unfortunately it does map whatever button you initially push, as you can't map that button subsequently during the same button mapping process (it treats it as already mapped and ignores it...
