Re: Paprium cartridge
I have to admit beyond the rarity I can't see why Paprium is such a draw. It's buggy and has modern commodity chips doing the work so it can make a graphically flashy game. I don't see the appeal. Idk what's happening with GPL, but compliance shouldn't be controversial with anyone here. If they've got a point about it then fix it and even if you th...

Re: New distribution system for Jotego cores
Nope. He rearranged his releases so that jtbin contains both open and closed betas, and 'jtstable' contains public cores but at a slower cadence than 'jtbin'. Previously everyone just pulled from jtbin, but now the default is jtstable. Everyone WANTS the open beta cores though, so I bet a large percentage of people opt into it, and experience the ...

Re: New distribution system for Jotego cores
Appreciate it. I realize it shouldn't bother me so much, but of course it had to show up while I had company over. It was their favorite game and it was awkward.
I appreciate Jotego and their work, just wish the preview status was more visible to avoid frustration/embarrassment.

Re: New distribution system for Jotego cores
Is there any way to just opt into the Open Beta stuff, but not the Closed Betas? I don't want to start a game and find out it's locked only when it has loaded. It's frustrating. Nope. Re: Update all script and Jotego cores
So is there any way to separate Jotego's Closed Beta out and just get the Public Beta?
Currently I have to start a game to find out if it's something I can play or just a preview video. That's lame.

Re: Can't boot MegaAGS hdf. Did I mess up?
Are you sure your hardware settings are OK? It should be A1200, AGA, with plenty of RAM. Also, did you try any other .hdf, just to see if this works at all? It's probably going to be something small you missed, because it works fine for most people. No, the MegaAGS image has just about everything you could want from the gaming side. Press Escape a...

I have. No joy though.zorrobandito wrote: ↑Sun Jul 18, 2021 7:29 am Did you copy across all the minimig cfg files as well?
minimig.cfg
minimig1.cfg
minimig2.cfg
minimig3.cfg
I can't really think of too many other issues. MISter runs the minimig.cfg which loads the MegaAGS boot rom and mounts the hdf.

Re: Can't boot MegaAGS hdf. Did I mess up?
1) Make sure you have run the MiSTer update script recently, there was a short period when headerless HDF files did not work. 2) I have tested the 2021 version of the creation script (MegaAGS) on the latest core, so make sure your version is up to date (older versions should still work, I just haven’t tested those). 1) Ran it before posting and on...

Re: Can't boot MegaAGS hdf. Did I mess up?
Both floppy drives, DF0 and DF1 should have * No Disk * In the Drives section, it should be configured like this: IDE A600/A1200 : ON FAST-IDE (68020): ON PRI. MASTER: FIXED/HDD MEGAAGS.HDF PRI. SLAVE: FIXED/HDD MEGAAGS-SAVES.HDF SEC MASTER and SLAVE should both be disabled. Finally, in SYSTEM, the important setting is: ROM: MEGAAGS-KICKSTART.ROM ...

Can't boot MegaAGS hdf. Did I mess up?
Hi! I was trying to dip my toe into some Amiga for the first time, but even after triple checking that I'd followed the readme and the settings were right I still end up at the Insert Floppy screen. It's like the HDF file is just ignored or something, but I don't know where it would log something like that to confirm my suspicion. I saw that IDE ha...

Re: My *.hdf drive wont boot after latest update
I am trying to set up and use the MegaAGS hdfs, but even after double checking the configs it seems like it won't recognize the HDD? I just keep getting the screen asking for a floppy disk.
Is this related to the headers? I am entirely new to Amiga.

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support
Looks like there is something up with the auto detection script that is trying to decide if you have CHD or IMG. You can just manually roll back to one of the other releases and extract update.zip/c update.zip/E to the VHDs by mounting them in Windows. I'll check it see if I have the same issue. https://github.com/flynnsbit/Top300_updates/releases...

Re: Is MiSTer FPGA Overkill For My Needs?
The parts that are specific to a Pi setup are minimal cost. Controllers, SD and such all carry over. There's very little reason *not* to try it and see if it makes you happy.
