Re: 0MHz DOS Collection / PS3 Controller Support?

Ok, so in a nutshell: This is not a problem on my side; it is cumbersome for everybody, correct?

Re: 0MHz DOS Collection / PS3 Controller Support?

While this sounds like a good workaround, I do not understand why it does not work as intended by the core (which seems to support various joysticks). But I will definitely try this!

0MHz DOS Collection / PS3 Controller Support?

Hello, I have just installed the 0MHz collection but can not get any game to run with a PS3 controller. The controller usually works out of the box with everything else, but I can not get it to work with the collection. OSD works fine, I also get the usual button description (top left corner), but apart from that, no game reacts to any button press...

Re: USB Hub Ports Seem to Be Dead

I totall agree – there is just not much on it that could cause problems.

But: I just measured the ports on the usb hub board – they all get 5.10 v.

Re: USB Hub Ports Seem to Be Dead

It may look like it's connecting well, but if that power is lost, the ports shut down...I saw exactly the same on mine, and you could 'bump' the MiSTer and everything would come back. My solution to ensure a very solid connection was to solder a wire between the connection point on the bottom of the board and the "finger". I can absolute...

Re: USB Hub Ports Seem to Be Dead

What form does that bridge take on yours? More specifically, where did you obtain it? (That bridge can occasionally get finicky if it's a metal "finger" that extends up to the DE-10 versus a plug.) Yes, it is the tricky one with the metal "finger". But that is connecting well. Unfortunately, I do not have a micro usb to female ...

Which USB board and how does it receive power?

It's the 2.1 version and it gets its power via a bridge between the two boards. None of the LED turn on, I think the board is dead.

USB Hub Ports Seem to Be Dead

Hi there, from one day to the other, none of the six USB ports seem to be working anymore (I have a 3.5 Amps power supply feeding the MiSTer). The BT-Dongle is no longer recognized ("BT not available in BT screen"), neither is any keyboard. The keyboard does not seem to get any power (CAPS LOCK led does not turn on). Could it be that the ...

Re: Can't Connect BT Device

I believe it's fairly recent that a kernel module was made for that adapter and at the moment, it's not part of Mister. If you can find the modules for the current kernel that Mister uses, you can try manually loading them and see what happens, but it will have to be added to Mister's linux build so it will survive future updates. Thanks for that....

Re: Can't Connect BT Device

Is there anybody out there that uses the same adapter? Maybe that exact specimen simply does not work?

Try putting the dongle on an extension cable. The further away from the Mister you get the better the reception.

Didn't change a thing, unfortunately.

Re: Can't Connect BT Device

Yes. I see the BT adapter running hcitool dev. But when I scan, nothing will show up. Trying to pair both devices to my computer works within seconds, so I am confident it is not an issue with the controllers.

Can't Connect BT Device

Hi there, I am struggling to pair any BT controller with MiSTer. I press the OSD button, and the BT pairing dialog shows. Also, I see the Bluetooth icon in the OSD of miSTer. But no matter which device I set to pairing mode – I tried a Dual Shock 4, a Dual Sense controller and a keyboard (one after the other) – they will not show up. I am using a T...

PS5 Controller / No Bluetooth Available

Hi there, I have not used my MiSTer in a year or so and completely set it up from scratch. When I tried my PS3 controller (third party) it immediately worked once I plugged in a BT adapter. But the odd thing is: When I press F11 to pair a PS5 controller the OSD shows "No Bluetooth available". But the PS3 controller still works unless I re...

Samba on Mac OSX

Hi there, I just set up my MiSTer including update_all. To make life a bit easier, I wanted to try connecting my Mac via Samba with Mister but I seem to miss something. Samba is turned on on the MiSTer but when I try to connect via "smb://mister" it will not connect. Is there something I am missing? Best Armin UPDATE: So I renamed the _sa...

Re: Can't SFTP, FTP or SSH

You need to turn those services on. There are scripts in the Scripts directory - press F12 from the main MiSTer menu to find them. If you don't have them download Update_All, copy it to your microSD card, and launch it from Scripts. It will download the others. https://github.com/theypsilon/Update_All_MiSTer Yes, that was the very easy solution. A...

Music 0,4s before picture?

Hi there,

playing Galaga (on HDMI), I have noticed an interesting behavior: The sound is at least 2 tenth to 4 tenth of a second EARLIER than the picture. So I hear the explosions before I see them. Galaga for the time being is the only game where I have witnessed this.

Any thoughts?

Best,

Armin

Can't SFTP, FTP or SSH

Hi there, yesterday, MiSTer arrived. Works like a charm, I am VERY amazed by this thing. Tried to FTP, SFTP and SSH to the device, but to no avail. I can ping it but all other connections are refused: ssh: connect to host 192.168.178.89 port 22: Connection refused Ping works fine: 64 bytes from 192.168.178.89: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=5.677 ms 64 byt...
