Re: Core Sizes?

That data can't be extracted from the rbf directly and I am not aware of any tool that can analyze it and give an estimate/report. The only way I am aware of is, as MostroW pointed out, to compile it yourself. To do that, you'll need to install Quartus 17, download the core's source from github, open up it's .qpf in Quartus, then Processing -> Star...

Re: TI-994a How-To

It's been a while since I last played it but here is the general setup to run that game: Make sure you save a backup copy of the floppy disks...If I recall correctly they are written/saved to by the game Under the Hardware menu, I have SAMS enabled, don't worry about TIPI if you don't have one. If you haven't already assigned a Disk DSR rom, you'll...

Re: TI 99/4a Core

CRT from Direct VIdeo should show the OSD even if the core isn't producing a video signal. CRT from the I/O board won't display the OSD if the core isn't producing a video signal and the TI99/4A core won't produce a video core if the system roms are missing and the cpu doesn't initialize the VDP. Once the system roms are setup in the hardware menu ...

Re: TI 99/4a Core

Are you using HDMI or CRT? If crt, the OS may not show up since the core's video isn't initializing so you will need to use HDMI for the initial configuration of system roms.

Re: "Stuck Key" with ROM on Aquarius Core?

Try the attached test build. It should fix AD+D and Night Stalker. It should also fix the keyboard input as controller (Arrow Keys, F1-F6...).
If all looks good, I'll submit a pull request.

Re: White static when launching scripts

What happens when you press F9? If you get to the terminal then try these steps: Login of course (U: root P: 1) cd /media/fat/Scripts ./update_all.sh It should kick off the update_all script and give you access to the menu. This just verifies that the actual script works and not just simply failing early. If it doesn't work, type the following two ...

Check your MiSTer.ini file for this setting:

Code: Select all

fb_terminal=1

If it's set to 0, then you won't get a terminal.

Re: Analog IO Board V6.0 Fan Voltage

Yes, that's a 0 ohm resistor bridging the 5 volt line with the line going to the fan. To switch it 3.3v, you'll have to de-solder that resistor and attach it between the 3.3v line and the fan (middle pin hole)...just make sure there isn't any left over solder bridging the 5v with middle pin hole. Better yet, if you could, solder a 3 pin header in t...

Re: Analog IO Board V6.0 Fan Voltage

The jumper block for voltage selection (3 pins) should be right next to the fan connector. If you flip the board over you should see one of the outer pins (or in your case vias/holes) bridged with the center pin. Here is a link to the schematics of the official IO board (v6.0). Re: GRS TS-BSP02 Spinner Not working with Atari 2600/7800 Games

I see that it's software configurable (Windows only of course) so you may want to check to see how it's configured. If you have the two buttons it came with attached to the spinner, you can swap between X and Y axis configurations if you hold them for 10 seconds so you may want to try that in case that's the issue. I don't have the new one only BSP...

Isn't Favorites just another folder like Arcade/Console/etc?
I'm not near my Mister at the moment and don't currently use Favorites so I can test out so I may be naive, but...
If so, have you tried going into the Cores submenu? That should take you to the "folder" you launched the current core (in this case Favorite from)?

Ok I had previously copied part of the code, as mentioned earlier, which didn't work. But this time I just copied the entire file over and renamed it to "timezone" and it worked. There must have been more code hidden in the unreadable code that caused issue resulting in the OS replacing it with a newly generated one; which was of course ...

Re: Rolling Thunder - Can’t get the disk version to load

If you are still having issues, you may want to test your SDRAM to make sure it's good.
The core uses SDRAM, how much I am not sure without digging through the code, but it's a good idea to rule bad sdram out.

Re: MiSTer Feature Expansion Idea

It's possible to write a core, along with using the User IO port as an IEC port the way it's done now with the C64 & C128 cores to behave as a floppy drive. There are few things to consider though on how you approach the situation. First and foremost, you'll need to decide how you want to navigate through the floppy images. If you go the alread...

Where on the SD card is it stored? Usually it's under the _Computer folder, so in the Menu check there (Computer menu) and if names.txt is used, it may be found under something like TRS-80 Coco 2 or possibly Tandy Color 2

If you haven't already, add a "Directory or Archive" in the CD/HD List and call it Shared . Otherwise it hangs when trying to mount it during bootup. That should be handled by the 1.3 patched shared FS driver that is included, but maybe that broke with the latest core updates? It works fine on MiSTer...it's WinUAE that it hangs on.

It my have worked at some point, but at the moment, the way the MRA is referencing the folder, Main looks for it in games instead of _Arcade (or from where the MRA was launched).
