With me moving over 50, not sure that I would opt for 10" screen... Multiply by 3-5 and now we're talking. :)

For mobile and small screen need there is always steam deck.

Latest upgrade broke my WiFi

Last weekend I've run update-all script and since then my wi-fi will sporadically connect to internet. Never had this problem before. Did something in updates affect driver? I was able to reconnect twice since then, but could not figure out what triggered wi-fi to start working again.

Any idea what might cause this issue?

Thanks!

Re: CGC Round 12 core: Sega Genesis / Mega Drive

Not sure what we are doing here, or how does this work... but if nominating Genesis / Mega Drive games, here is my 3 pick that does not include games already nominated:

* Thunder Force IV
* MUSHA
* Mega Turrican

I second Gun Star Heroes and Streets of Rage.

Now, can someone please explain me what we are doing? :D

Re: I-PAC Arcade Controls on Minimig

Core controller works just the same as other cores, I did not see any difference between gamepads (I used quite few, including xbox controller, sega genesis, ps3 and ps4, logitech F310 just to name few) and Mayflash F300 arcade stick. They all work the same way for me.

Re: I-PAC Arcade Controls on Minimig

Should work as any other controller on MiSTer. Once you setup Joystick (amiga had ability to use 2 buttons, but most games have only 1 button) For some amiga games, to pass intro, you have to have mouse click (right or left click) or Escape key (depending on intro). Sometimes even Space key. What game you are trying to run and what screen do you see?

Re: IPF Support

Yes, well, almost everything has been done before on the Amiga. But a lot of the reason people want to emulate old hardware is so that they can recreate old experiences, including building custom WHDLoad images. I was talking about how I did exactly that, and included the proviso that it wasn't necessary. I was providing a different way to work ar...

Re: Pang! Public Release by Jotego

I love this game. I originally played Ocean's C64 port when it came out (cartridge, not the crack on disk version). The SID tunes were great. Later I played the original arcade version through MAME. Anyone who is a fan should check out "Super Obliteration" on the Amiga core too. It's a brilliant Pang! like PD game. Amiga had very good po...

Re: IPF Support

I had only cracks, seeing as there was no originals in my area, and that's why it would be great to have this option now. Cracktros can be fun but also annoying (maybe not as much as on C64, but still) and sometimes cracking have caused problems in games as well. I had mix of original games and cracks, mostly strategy games being originals and one...

Re: IPF Support

IPF does mean all the manual based copy protection is present and its a pain in the arse. Also means you would have to pay much more attention to the config of the Amiga. No WHDLoad fixes would be present But it would allow you to update WHDLoad-ed game to latest version, using them to create new whdload files, something that is not supported from...

Re: IPF Support

IPF images support would be great, since images represent unmodified copies of software.

As for writing back to IPF, if I remember correctly, WinUAE creates change file of floppy that you can delete to move back to original floppy state.

Wonder if there are any changes in plan to include IPF support for minimig core.

To remind all, IPF is verified 100% copy of amiga's floppy disk.

It requires SPS' dll to work on emulators.

What are your memory settings for setup?

Re: Exiting WHDLoad games

Just push "*" on keyboard by number pad when you need PrtScr. (that is mapped button)

Or change to what you want that key to be. (I usually don't change it)

To make it permanent change for all games, in S folder you can change it in whdload config file.

Re: HD Support for WB 2.04 and 1.3.3?

Finally went around and patched kickstart 1.3 with ide from 3.1 and managed to create 200MB HDF with 2 partitions on it and boot on MiSTer. This took some work, and yes, scripting patching would benefit those willing to emulate 1.3 with A590 HD back from end of 80s.

There are JST and HD Loader games that Ransom probably has setup for his single SD card collection for RetroPie. You can get all of those games from EAB FTP server, iirc collection is maintained by Retroplay.

Just remove TOP config and don't save anything into it. Or perhaps set it to boot into amiga load screen to run ADF games, like Amiga 500 config without HD.

Re: My *.hdf drive wont boot after latest update

I am sure you probably are better off to create script that will replace HDFs with new RDB one. Something similar was done long time ago to pack KillerGorilla's packs into HDFs that you are probably using today. (I still might have somewhere that WinUAE setup) Why keep all games as separate HDF files?? This might works great for RetroPie and simila...

Re: HD Support for WB 2.04 and 1.3.3?

No, 2.05.299 has no ide support You ideally want 2.05.350 as that has support for larger disks. I just noticed that one of my 2.05 has HD in it, but rom version is 37.300, not 37.350. Will test this rom tonight. I tried with a 2.5" external HDD, and I suspect it did not get enough power from the MiSTer even though it has a powered USB hub, so...

That is actually good idea, it might be a good use for 1TB external disk that I have, but wonder if I should get bigger power supply, as HD works off USB power. I have couple that have external power. So many options. :)

HD Support for WB 2.04 and 1.3.3?

Hi, ever since I had original HD on Amiga, I always like to have one retro setup for both 1.3.3 and 2.04. Both of those Amigas (Amiga 500 and Amiga 500+ had additional HD added to the side of amiga, sometimes also including additional memory. My original HD was wooping 20 MB. From settings on minimig core, I see only support for A600 / A1200 EDI in...
