Is the audio in the FMV intro to Dune slightly garbled or is it just my setup?

Just loaded up Blood and I don't think it runs well enough to be playable and should probably be removed.

Re: Apple II Core

There's an improvement in that created characters are persistent between boots, but the core is still locking up when I use the *ROSTER command at the Training Grounds or when I try to Add characters at the Tavern. You might need to disable the write protect option, I've experienced lock ups on other games when the core was trying to write. But fo...

Re: Apple II Core

@riblad_om Are you using the unpublished core that actually saves NIBs? The 'official' one doesn't AFAIK. I wasn't, hadn't occurred to me those improvements wouldn't be implemented to the main core yet. Grabbed what I'm assuming is the latest rbf from the previous page. There's an improvement in that created characters are persistent between boots...

If anybody wants to play Wizardry 1, then I can recommend using the latest recompiled version (Apr 9th 2023): https://www.zimlab.com/wizardry/ I'm am attempting to play this, but I can't seem to get characters to survive a reboot. I don't know if I'm missing something because I don't really know how Wizardry or the Apple II function, or if it's a ...

Re: Cannot Load .chd with CDZ Setting

I am a little puzzled on what is causing this issue. Could I be using .chd that the CDZ setting does not like ? Same set of .chd load just fine if I have my settings as CD and 1x speed. Black screen with CDZ setting and any speed. Thanks for your help :) Check that you have the original CDZ bios (neocd.bin) and/or the Universe Bios (uni-bioscd.rom...

Re: Neo Geo CD Core

i've never played it before but i can faintly recall people were quite enthousiastic about Samurai Spirits (Shodown) RPG. though it was only released in Japanese, i think there should be a translation out there as well these days, if you're into RPG's that is. As far as I can tell from googling there isn't a working translation of this quite yet.

Got my adapter recently and I'm happy with it! Some cores are black and white but overall the level of support is pretty decent. Thanks to Mike i can make use of a little s-video crt i found before it was recycled.

You should turn on the YC Core downloader in Update All if you want to get the cores that have't been updated yet.

It probably has something to do with Gauntlet being a vertically oriented game that was meant to be played while holding the Lynx sideways.

Re: MiSTerFPGA Y/C Out Module (Direct - S-Video / Composite Output) - Update

Hi, I found this because I was trying to figure out why I don't have color via composite (Analog I/O) for a few of the cores (Atari 2600/7800 and Sega 16) and I am trying to figure out what I might need to fix. These cores have color via HDMI. These I appreciate all of the help here, so if I am understanding correctly, this is because those cores ...

Just got the adapter from MisterAddons, and realized there’s no Minimig/Amiga core. Is that something that would be complicated to support vs. the other cores? I'm sure someone who knows better will weigh in shortly if I'm wrong on this, but I think a lot of the pc cores don't have a YC port because they run at too high a resolution to be displaye...

Lady Sword garbled intro music.

In Lady Sword I'm getting bad music in the intro. It's not immediately obvious but if you listen to the whole thing, certain notes are held too long. Can anyone load it up and confirm that it's a problem with the core and not my setup? I tested the fan translation and the original jp rom.

edit: confirmed behavior and made issue on github

You know you got a counterfeit sd card as soon as you plug it in and it's a fraction of the size that you paid for. Which is why it's important to get an sd card from somewhere with a good return policy.

You have open update_all.sh, not downloader.ini. downloader.ini is in the root mister folder, not in the scripts folder, so you need to go up one directory.

Maybe its just me but I'd rather have my roms on a SSD. I don't keep my non-arcade roms on the sd card, if that's what you're implying. Those go on the usb drive. It's really the path of least resistance. Let update_all manage the system files and arcade roms on the sd card. Plug in a usb drive with a games directory for console roms and those wil...

As long as my individual games subdirectories on the sd card are empty of roms, the mister will see the roms on the usb drive just fine.

No need to keep system files on the usb. update_all seems to have put bios files on both the usb and the sd, maybe because I ran the script before the usb drive was mounted at some point, but it's not a problem.

For some reason, this is not working for me. If there is a PSX or MegaCD folder on the sdcard, it just ignores the USB HD. If I delete the folders on the sdcard, the USB HD folders are available. Is there an .ini file that controls the priority? Make sure the PSX/Sega CD sd card directories are empty and the case is for identical for both. edit: I...
