Re: Has anyone tried a 1TB MicroSD card in their MiSTer?

Still using the same 1TB SanDisk I posted about here almost 2 years ago with no issues. Have added N64 and the Saturn CHD files (English only) and still have 150mb free. Also have the AmigaVision collection, eXoDos 300 collection, MacPack. Every month or so after updating I remove it, connect it to my desktop and run a robocopy job to make a backup...

I'm on HDMI and it's never been adaptive blend for me like the old Genesis core. All or nothing, no adaptive.

One more nitpicky thing, the USB side isn't a standard width usb port, it has a flare on either side.
So if you are using a device with two ports side by side, you couldn't plug both in without an extension.

You can open up the controller and replace the cable. It's just a micro USB that plugs in internally.

The NSO N64 controller is back in stock at nintendo.com/store
I just ordered a second one since it works so well over USB.

Doesn't that still require a non-standard kernel?

Replace zImage_dtb in the Linux directory with this one:

Does anyone have 16 way controls working with BOTH controllers? I took the plunge and got an Ultimate PC interface and flashback controllers (side note, the actual flashback hardware is horrible - sound issues and other bugs..) I can get one or the other controller to work in 16 way depending on which I calibrate last in the main MiSTer menu, but ...

Update_All Log

Is there a way to view the Update_All log files from the MiSTer menu? Sometimes it scrolls too fast while updating and I miss what it says. Would be nice to easily view it from the menus rather than connect from another computer.

Sound isn't working correctly in Double Dragon. Background music plays during fights, but sound effects do not. Just a click sound instead of each sound effect.

Amazing! I've been using the Wii for N64 and Gamecube games, but it's just not the same.

for n64 on wii, not all games are compatible with that emulator right?

21 N64 games are Nintendo official virtual console. For the rest you have to use either Wii64 or Not64 emulators in a jailbroken Wii. And yes, not all work well.

Re: Game & Watch Core

It's easy to edit SVG graphics in Inkscape, and adding a drop shadow is simple. I did some tinkering and found that it looks great, but the core does not show the shadows once compiled. I think the rom file is looking for specific elements in the SVG and adding the drop shadow layer breaks it. Sounds like you're close. Hopefully there's a solution...

both packs only provide 15 out of 18 between them unfortunately. I wasn't able to convert Rain Shower unfortunately; the .svg's included in the MAME romset came out blank in the tool. As for the other two omitted, those use a weird display format, sorry :( The core is only going to improve from now on, so I guess we'll have to redo the conversions...

Re: What exactly is going on here? MiSTer vs NES and OSSC

Eh its not just overscan. You can see Mario is under the multiply symbol on the NES whereas on Mister he's almost escaping the life counter. Without knowing how the screenshots were staged, that's meaningless. Depending on whether the player moved left or right prior to taking the shot, Mario's X position can be different. Yeah, the score and time...

Re: MiSTer Freesync and LG CX TVs - Not Possible?

It must be the games then. If the scrolling is perfect on the 240p test suite then the TV is not frame skipping. I am assuming the TV is on Game mode with Motion interpolation off. vsync_adjust=0 should cause frame skipping in the scrolling test. Game mode off/on makes no difference. Yes, with vsync_adjust=0 there is frame skipping in the scrollin...

A few more NES games observations. Gradius - No frame drops (use invincible cheat). Castlevania - No frame drops, running back and forth on first screen. Castlevania III - During vertical scrolling intro, frame drops approximately every 14 seconds. 1943 - Stage 1 frame drops in background water, but not clouds or ships or anything else (use invinci...
