Re: I cannot move the paddles in Pong
What other button do you need to play Pong? Right now I can only press Start (which restarts the game). I need to at least be able to go up and down, so I can move the paddle. I realised that the word "buttons" in the title was misleading so I've changed it now appropriate to avoid any confusion. My apologies. Anyway, I've just came acro...

I cannot move the paddles in Pong
I have "Pong (Rev E).mra" inside the directory /media/fat/_Arcade . The game loads and plays fine from what I see, but the only working button is "Start". I have tried with multiple joystick devices and also keyboard. Nothing. I have remapped the buttons and saved the settings. Still nothing. Even keyboard doesn't work. Is this ...

Should Arcade Cores Work With CRT?
I've just recently bought my MiSTer and I am really enjoying it, mostly playing SNES games so far. I am using my Sony PVM for that, connected via VGA-to-BNC cable and everything works fine. However, when I am about to play Arcade games (games inside the `_Arcade` directory) I have some problems: 1. Some do not even start (blank screen) 2. Some are ...

Re: Is it compatible? [PAL 50Hz][CRT via SCART]
Well ... I found it at 150 EUR + extra cost for shipping, so I need to be certain before paying around ~200 EUR. My plan is to use a VGA-SCART converter, yes, but the reason I am asking here in the forum is because I've read somewhere (I cannot find the source at the moment) that some Mister cores, do not work properly with PAL (50 Hz) via SCART, u...

Is it compatible? [PAL 50Hz][CRT via SCART]
Hey folks, I found a Sony KV 14 LT 1 used CRT monitor and I am wondering if it would work fine with Mister so I can decide if it makes sense to buy it or not... FYI I don't have any CRT monitor at the moment. You can find the manual https://www.manualslib.com/manual/159620/Sony-Kv-14lt1b.html?page=18#manual . Being in Europe, the TV comes with RGB ...

How do you re-create a video console?
Hello everyone, It's been a few couple of days since I learned about the MiSter Project and FPGA in general. I am "googling" non-stop to find more information about how one can 'master' this and be able to develop their own FPGA implementations of game console hardware, such as SNES. However, I've noticed that there is scarcity of availab...

Re: MiSTer Storage Requirements
Easier thing is to use an SD Card.
But I second what @Elvis said -- the network connection is faster. I did lot's of benchmarks with iperf3 and game streaming (using Moonlight -- this is outside of the context of Mister though) and the speed was mindblowing, even with 5G wifi. If you can setup a network storage, go for it
