Re: MegaAGS Games and Just a Gamepad
If that is the case, then I can leave the mapping alone and just hide the rii in a drawer and use it from time to time.

MegaAGS Games and Just a Gamepad
I try to play one of my favourites Games, but to go from the intro to the real Game it needs a press on the spacebar. I prefer to not have a keyboard connected in my living room. Is it possible to map the spacebar or the delete key or other keyboard-presses to the gamepad? Other options could be to perhaps tweak somewhere else in the chain (e.g. wh...

Re: ProGear
ultimatemister sells the SDRAM Extension as CPS2 certified. Interesting, so it seems to be a known issue and at least my MiSTer is not broken. Very good to have an option to either buy my way into CPS2 or accept it not to play these ones. Is this behaviour documented somewhere? Because I do not think I am the only one. Is Jotego working on a fix an...

Hmmm, thank you. How can I know that the new board to be puchased will solve the problems? Is there something special I should look out for?Chris23235 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 12:30 pm For me the only way to solve this problem was to buy another SDRam module. Every other core ran fine with my old 128 MB module, but the CPS2 core seems more demanding, when it comes to Ram.

And AVP. The point in time when it freezes is not always the same. Sometimes right after start, sometimes 10s in the game.

Yes, I have problems with other CPS2 Roms. The latest Streetfighter alpha and Mashups Roms reboot themselves to the disclaimer screen. I can interact sometimes in the fighter screen, but then the game starts again from the initial text disclaimer ("this game is for audiences in ...).

Re: ProGear
None of them works properly: american, japanese, asian.
CPS2 Core is from the beta channel (update_all), the ROMs are also being pulled by update_all.
Do you configure/copy manually?

Does Progear work for you? For the american version it simply freezes after the first screens where you choose player/plane.

Re: Dodonpachi Controls broken
Fixed.
Solution:
- Connect the keyboard
- Connect the M30
- Enter core specific controller settings
- Enter "yes" on the question for alternative config
- delete all alternative associations with <SPACE>

Re: Dodonpachi Controls broken
Hi and thank you for you questions.
The 8bitdo works in almost all of the CORES pretty well.
In the PCEngine-Core it behaves wild if I configure it as a 6 button pad. Configured as 2 buttons = no problems.
In terms of configuration, I did both: the main menu config and the core-specific configuration.

I had graphic glitches the last week but now they are gone. What stays is a problem with the game controls in DoDonPachi.
Joypad up pauses the game
Firebutton 1 not only fires but steers also right
Firebutton 2 not only fires but steers also left
Redefining the buttons does not help. Sounds familiar? How did you fix it?

Numeric Keypad * on a smaller keyboard
I have a narrow keyboard without a numeric keypad. A couple of games can be exited by pressing the * (star) on the numeric keypad. How to do that? I already mapped the * to a Joystick button, but maybe this isn't the one from the numeric pad. Thanks in advance.

Joypad (ingame) does not work after core switch
If I switch the core directly to minimig, my joypad does not work ingame. My workaround is to simply reload the current config. A more time consuming workaround is to reassign the buttons for minimig. Is there a fix to let my joypad work right after a core switch? The mister is up-to-date. I did not do an update for 3 weeks and I am 99% sure, it wo...

Re: new monitor
You need to activate the line doubler. I prefer these settings in the Mister.ini
forced_scandoubler=1 ; set to 1 to run scandoubler on VGA output always (depends on core).
vga_scaler=0 ; set to 1 to connect VGA to scaler output.

There are a lot of diskimages and hdd-images available, but how can I create my own? Can anyone explain the process of creating a *.vhd with multiple partitions to be used in MiSTer and copy data to it?
