Comparison of 3 cheap DACs for output sound level

Hi Folks, I was finding that I was having to crank my active PC speakers quite high to hear some (all?) cores, in comparison to other machines going into the speakers, so I was deliverating between getting a headphone amplifier as a pre-amp to boost the signal or improvements to the cheap DAC I was using. So I bought a couple of other cheap DACs fr...

Approach for quickly changing core settings

Hi, I've picked up a guncon3 and using it with various cores I wondered if I was missing any way to quickly switch core settings? As I understand it, in some cores you change an input device between controller and zapper/guncon and need to do this for each time you switch hanger controller type, so I just wondered if like the main config ini there ...

Re: Judder With Horizontal Scrolling Over VGA PC CRT Monitor

Hi thinks again guys for your help with this. After a brief hiatus I have come back to it, trying again with a CRT, this time for ease plugged in via a HDMI>VGA dongle FoxbatStargazer - thanks again for the info, just to confirm in case useful for others that I had made a type and resolution was indeed 320x200 15.74KHz 70.1Hz. Since tried with vsyn...

Re: Judder With Horizontal Scrolling Over VGA PC CRT Monitor

Thanks guys for this. I didn't know that the second line comes into play still, (i.e. VGA scaler forced on) but had noticed some weird things: more testing and learning needed by me! I'll take a look at keen 4 and vsync adjust 2. Cheers

Judder With Horizontal Scrolling Over VGA PC CRT Monitor

Hi, Apologies if this has come up already. I've been trying to resolve an issue with stuttering of the image with Apogee games when scrolling horzontally, for example Keen Dreams. I have run through a number of steps to try and remove the issue. Initially I was using a Dell LCD screen, but thinking the issue was the limited 60Hz refresh rate I got ...

Re: Please help, multiple .ini configuration switch does not work

Not sure if the OP found the same, but neither Backspace or Escape keys are mimic the menu back button from a controller, therefore not giving the same effect in the OSD of switching the ini. I'm reluctant to remap the keyboard to find out what key it is but that might be my next option after taking a backup. For me I'm looking to style out an Adaf...

Re: C64 Core - Device not present error

Actually just trying out some different things, as suggested in this thread, moving to the standard C64 kernel allows it to work: viewtopic.php?t=1978

I've got a lot to learn!

Re: C64 Core - Device not present error

Also have this, also new to Mister. Having used the MR Fusion install method, updating etc. so running Dolphindos 2. I was expecting to be able to load a .tap hit Shift+ESC, or Load"*". As with OP , I get

I did not previously load or configure a Drive so I'm wondering if I missed this step. Thanks
