Just to chime, I've also got a T2U which worked fine till I did an update too.

Yeah, I know in theory i2c should require external pullups, but bodging with short wires seems to work nevertheless.

I severely bodged mine with a zero 2 and some straight soldered wiring to be cheapshake..

As far as I can determine there isn't, other than the a0486 core remapping them a little bit.

I presume a lot of people just don't want a keyboard plugged in and would rather have on device buttons.

Don't think I actually appreciated just how small the zero 2 is, having just got mine finally.

a shim board could certainly be made to go from the arduino header to the pi header so that it plugs straight in, barring needing to get power from somewhere else I guess.

I certainly plan to somehow mount a pi zero 2 to my hodgepog mister, assuming it works well enough..
