What dskrom should I use with the latest MSX2-core? It seems that at least a few games won't load with the dskroms I've tried (NMS8235 and NMS8230). Any tips?

Saving the settings made it work apparently. No the OSD works ok. Weird.

Hmm. For some reason the keyboard settings are not the same as for other cores... I can get to OSD, but it seems that I cannot change the MSX type in the menu, no matter what button I press. Something weird indeed.

Hmm. That latest core seems to freeze the whole MiSTer, cannot even access the OSD. Any clues? Older cores work just fine.

The latest MSX2 beta core seems to work really well already. OPL4 support would make it perfect

Wasn't someone working on an advanced OPL chip for one of the arcade boards? I saw something about that mentioned in passing, but I can't remember details. Back on this topic: It appears that OPL4 is "too large" for the FPGA used in OCM (12000 LEs). MiSTer on the orher hand, has 110000 LEs, so there would be plenty of space at least to my understanding. Running the latest MiSter software with Sony BVM via analog out. For some reason, MSX core seems to have the vertical screen position a bit lower compared to other cores and/or the vertical size of the image is a bit lower. Is there anything I can do to change this in the Mister.ini?

Thank you guys for your advice :) There's certainly something weird here, since just for the sake of it I decided to update the MT32-Pi software to the latest. Low an behold at least a few titles started playing all the channels as expected. Then during the testing I got to the point that the were a few channes missing once again. Rebooted the MT32...

For my setup with AO486, I'm not using SoftMPU. I just have the AUTOEXEC lines to configure MIDI with the "SoundBlaster". Hi, running the latest AO486 and booting from BOOT-DOS98.VHD (Flynn). I guess this has something to do with the CD-ROM settings, but for the life of me I cannot figure it out. For some reason my AO486 always tries to boot from a VHD that I used originally, but which is not available in the SD card anymore How can I make the core to forget the original VHD? I have unmounted it, but is always reverts back the the original and complains about no boot device.

I got it sorted out my "taking the easy way out" route. I just used a ready-made VHD, file. I still need to find out the reason, but that has to wait a bit.

Hmm, seems pretty cumbersome. Is there any reasonable way to manipulate (e.g. transfer files in/out) with a VHD file, which was created with DD, under Windows 10?

If you're using Direct Video adapter then modelines won't work without an adapter. Other than that could be that this particular BVM doesn't like this particular modeline, or that something regarding sync needs adjusting. vga_scaler=1 is what you should use from the VGA port on the Analog I/O board. I'm not too sure, maybe someone who has a better understanding of modelines can help out. I was using that line for another core and it seems to work with this Arcadia one.
