Re: Filters, Shadowmask and LCDs
I haven't touched a CRT since the 90s. Over the years, like many others, I've spent way to much time playing with filters to never be satisfied. Then one day, I said screw it, and picked up a CRT and I have been happy ever since and scratch my head sometimes wondering why I just didn't get one earlier. I mean people still give them away for free if...

Re: MiSTer Super Attract Mode (SAM) is now available - the first game screensaver for your MiSTer!
How I remove sam? Just delete Scripts/.MiSTer_SAM ? Also, I noticed it's now creating temporary MGL files to load the game. But could we actually add support for using already created MGL files? For example I have a _Favorites folder with a few hundred files, it would be nice to just point to this folder and load random mgl files from that folder.

Re: Multi cores/roms "attract mode" with Linux bash script
Wow, this script is exactly what I was looking for! :D So I have some mra files in various sub directory (_Arcade/_CPS2). I haven't tried yet, but I guess in the text file they would be listed with forward slash like /_CPS2/Street Fighter Alpha 3 (Euro 980904).mra? EDIT: Looks like you can't use sub directories? I tried with and without forward sla...

Re: Multi cores/roms "attract mode" with Linux bash script
I wanted to bump this thread as I'm trying to figure out a way to do this as well. I did find this script which apparently loads a nes game every 5 minutes, so it sounds like it should be possible, although I haven't tried the script myself. I recently finished an arcade MiSTer build so I thought it would be awesome, especially now MiSTercade is on...

I recently picked up one of these with the riser It's basically the same size as a standard arcade1up. I did a tear down and pictures are here I have a spare de-10 nano I'm going to use with this build. Does anyone know if the power can be wired to a power bar to place inside the cab? Or should I just get one of these ? There is a power switch and ...

Here is a project that used a web server running on mister arm to control cores
https://github.com/nilp0inter/MiSTer_WebMenu
You could use the interface on your phone and the core would load. I don't think there was anyway to load a rom into a console core though.

User Button on IO Board
I've been trying to find any documentation on what this button does, but I can't find anything. The core docs don't mention it at all. Is this trial and error to figure out what it does for each core?

I did find this articleSegaSnatcher wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 12:20 am Is your controller NTSC or PAL? I know the PAL NES controller has some extra resistors or something, curious if that might be the issue.
I think my controllers are the correct ones, nes-004, and they work on my AVS. I though maybe it was the bliss adapter, but it works on blisster, just not the snac.

NES SNAC Issues
I just recently got a new i/o board, and snac from misteraddons. I've got all the bliss adapters from back when I was using a blister and llapi. I was able to get genesis, sega cd, tg16 and snes working no problems. NES on the other hand, the two controllers I have, won't work. I've tested these on my avs and blister, so I know the adapter and cont...

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support
I tried mounting a games vhd I built using the steps in flynnsbit's youtube video, but I get error "invalid drive specification" and "Secondary VHD not mounted" when using IDE 0-0 BOOT-DOS98.vhd. Is there anything I need to update in the os vhd or is my games vhd no good? It mounts fine under windows 10 and all the files seem to...

Very specific to raspberry pi but curious if possible to work with a mister perhaps? Small one player bar top, looks interesting.

Atari Ultimate Dual Arcade Fight Stick with Trackball
There are versions that come with a built in raspberry pi or one without and it seems the mister would fit perfectly inside this stick. Looks like versions without trackball as well, no buttons on side for pinball. A bit pricey but I might check it out. https://www.amazon.ca/Fightstick-Joystick-Controller-Raspberry-Console/dp/B089B8SMVJ https://www...

WebMenu A Web interface for MiSTer
I just wanted to share an interesting script that allows you to use your phone, tablet, etc to run cores. This wasn't developed by me, but nilp0inter. Right now, it is in the early stages, but looks very promising once more features are implemented.

Re: Final Fantasy III - 128MB SDRAM Issue
Oh wow, those are old builds! Was 128MB SDRAM modules for MiSTer a thing back then? When I had issues with my SDRAM module, even though it passed memtest, it caused graphical glitches on Super Castlevania once I updated to SNES_20190719.rbf but the build I updated to previously worked fine, SNES_20190609.rbf. I'm guessing maybe the memory speed or...

Re: Final Fantasy III - 128MB SDRAM Issue
I just checked some older snes core releases as bootsector pointed out in the github issue. Just like bootsector, the last working version for me is SNES_20190204. Something happened between SNES_20190204 and SNES_20190225 to cause this I assume? As the atari forums are gone, so is the change log that Sorgelig maintained so I can't see what he post...

Yes I love this keyboard, I have 3 of them for various devices.Sigismond0 wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 1:29 pm The K400 is nice, because Sorg put in some special code on the Linux side to automatically swap the media keys with the F1-12 keys at boot. Other similar keyboards require you to hold down the FN key to use the MiSTer OSD button, toggle wallpapers, etc.
