Re: Analogue Pocket can now use AmigaVision images made for the MiSTer

Always good to see the Amiga on the pocket getting an update, unfortunately some games run very fast, like buggy boy and bombjack.. Pretty sure that has nothing to do with the MiSTer/Pocket cores, but if someone could test it on original hardware (I don’t have my Amigas in my current location), that would be appreciated. WHDLoad bugs can be report...

Re: Groovy_MiSTer Core

I am not sure if this has been covered or not, but is it possible to stream this to multiple MiSTer's at the same time? It would be cool to have this option for a sort of video distribution system, especially now with the ability to stream PC applications and that could be used for watching movies on CRT's in different rooms for example. For groov...

Re: Groovy_MiSTer Core

Hi, I thought I'd share my patch to the stand alone dolphin emulator. My motivation for this was simply to play MM9 in 240p. Been wanting this a long time but not so bad that I have bought some downscaler hw. This groovy mister core let me do it for free :D . Today I fixed some bugs in my patch and played through the entire game without issues, so...

Re: MiSTer Nuked-MD MegaDrive Core

I am surprised to learn that Alien 3 for Master System seems to run fine on the Nuked-MD core. This game is notorious for not booting at all on actual Mega Drive consoles. Is this a bug, or was something intentionally tweaked in the core to make this game playable? Might be some region thing, my Australian copy of Alien3 works just fine on my unmo...

Re: MiSTer Nuked-MD MegaDrive Core

I've discovered that the analog output does weird things if composite_sync=1 is set for the Nuked MD and 32X cores, no other core has the problem, these 2 cores seem to be outputting a really weird (or no?) sync signal with that enabled, but outputs correct RGBHV with it set to 0. HDMI output is obviously fine regardless. Is this a known issue curr...

WHDLoad (which is the system AmigaVision/MegaAGS uses) works similarly, if you don’t exit the “container” that runs the game, it has no way to write the save to disk.

Makes sense. Thank you!

MegaAGS Game Saving

I was playing Cannon Fodder earlier using MegaAGS and the games save ok, but don't persist across reboots. Is there any way to make this happen other than remembering to press Del to exit?

Thanks!

Nope. If this is going to get done, it'll most likely need to be done by someone other than Andy.

fwiw - Batocera 35 now has Sinden support and it mostly works really well, much better than stuffing about with the PC software or the hodge-podge Raspberry Pi install.

Re: 9.7" iPad Retina Screen Perfect for MiSTer, $60 Fully Assembled 😄

So I decided to try something else on my monitor just to rule out a power/control board issue. I hooked up my Analogue Super NT and ran Super Mario Kart (JPN cart) for over 40 minutes without a single problem. That brings me back to the MiSTer as the likely culprit. I've read a lot of conflicting information online about what video settings to use...

I've got a DIY'd Laserbear setup (sourced the case from LB, the other pieces from various sources). The controller board looks identical to the LB one although it has the RTD2556 chip on it, not the RTD2556T, which means even after flashing LBs current firmware, I don't get Aspect Ratio control, or rotation, neither of which particularly worry me. ...

I "bricked" my board by flashing a wrong firmware. Before flashing it was detected on windows and the RTDTool could connect via GFXI2C interface driver . After flashing with the wrong firmware the board won't even power up. Windows won't detect a device and so RTDTool can't connect to it. I'm doomed! But I think it's still possible to fi...

Just as a FYI - if you have one of the acrylic cases of the sort that https://misterfpga.co.uk sell, then the mt32-pi lite will not fit. The casing is too thick and the connector doesn't reach. If you only have the top/bottom plates, then you're fine. I hadn't considered this, and discovered the hard way. I managed to get it to just work by removin...

This looks like a useful solution, I'd really like to know if it's "safe" for the MiSTer components from an electrical perspective. I'm not convinced that the USB hub is designed to be used in this fashion, it obviously _works_ but are there any associated risks versus powering the device the "normal" way. Are we able to find so...

FWIW - I received my unit and using the cable in the box it would not receive a signal from the MiSTer @ 1536p at all. I used a different (better quality) cable and now 1536p works. I had plugged it into a Retrotink 5x and the 1536p from that works so it may just be that the MiSTer doesn't quite output a strong enough signal and the cheap cable eat...

I added the kernel and my MiSTer wouldn't even boot afterwards, that's before I've even had a chance to try and run the scripts, is there some other gotcha? Hmm... It really should not refuse to boot at all even if the higher frequencies are unstable. The kernel should boot at stock frequency and stay there. If you have your mini USB cable I'd ask...
