Re: Show Us Your MiSTers

After having just the DE10/HDMI setup for about a year, I took the plunge & got the full setup.

I really wanted that 90's look so the acid green acrylic case from misterfpga.co.uk did the trick for me!

Re: My Mistakes with MiSTer

Congratulations for your repairs. My mistake was not discharging myself before touching the Nano being near a CRT. I felt a discharge when touching the middle button, even using a full case. Fortunately it apparently still works perfect, although I may have damaged the MiSTer, so I got a backup Nano just in case. Beware of the ESD! I hadn't though...

video_mode for component input TV ?

Hi friends - I just got my Mister & IO board hooked up to my Toshiba 20AF43. It works & looks great, but being new to this I'm curious about video_mode & custom video mode settings, whether those apply to my TV & if they do, how do I know which settings to choose for it? I don't want to mess around with settings I'm not comfortable ...

I made 2 designs with a few variations! Download link

The DE10 Nano one was quite the exercise in SNES tile restrictions. It's exactly 256 tiles.

Some amazing individual on the discord converted all of them. I don't know if linking to gameboy border files is allowed here, but here they are: https://archive.org/details/mister-sgb-borders

Super Gameboy Border extraction

The latest core update was the ability to load .sgb border files.

Is there a tool out there that can 'extract' the border information from roms that can be loaded as .sgb? I'd like to be able to load game-specific borders.

Cheers,
Corey

Does anyone know if these would work as spinners? https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07SZDYPVR/

I'm curious if they are continuous or stop after 1 full rotation

Re: MiSTer Game Videos on YouTube

Great videos! I've been trying to record MiSTer footage but I'm finding I get a lot of horizontal screen tearing in the recorded footage. I set my ini file to use sync = 0 @ 60hz, thinking that would solve it - it DOES seem to work but there is still some tearing after a while of recording. Do you mind sharing your recording settings? Cheers.

Re: Re-assigning keyboard keys

It's simply not working for me, I don't know why.

EDIT: Got it working - I was attempting to set up the key swap between two different keyboards, since the one I use with Mister has no 'Print Screen' button. I just needed to have both keyboards plugged in at the same time to swap them.

Thanks for the help!

Re-Assigning Keyboard Keys

Hiya MiSTers,

Is there a way I can re-assign the 'take screenshot' hotkey (windows + Print Screen) to something else? The wireless keyboard I use for Mister doesn't have a Print Screen key. I can, of course, plug in another keyboard to take a screenshot, but I don't want to have to do this every single time.

Thanks

Re: Some SPCs Play and Some Don’t

No, sorry I'm not that technically advanced, haha. It's just in the past I've had .spc's I've acquired from various websites tend to not work when others do.

That being said this spc player feature is the first commit so there's always the possibility it's on the Mister side.

SPC Player

The addition of the SPC player to the SNES core is a much welcome & fantastic one. I'm already enjoying it quite a bit. A few features that would be very welcome: Basic 'player' functions (next/previous/pause/etc.) Support for .rsn playlists (or perhaps just directories) Track length (each track plays for a set amount of time before moving onto...

Re: 256 color in windows 95

How does one actually load the drivers in for this on Win95? I've tried the Device Wizard with no luck. This might not be 100%, going from memory. Click the Start button and go to Control Panel, then System. Go to the Device Manager tab Expand the Display Devices and select the current one (probably VGA?) Click Properties. Got to the driver tab Cl...

Most non-Canadian sellers do, however we typically get dinged with duty fees & everything shipped outside of Canada will likely be held, ripped apart or even stolen at customs. So shipping within Canada is ideal ;)
