Re: COIN Mapping Ideas?

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the following, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255757727676 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256011973036 Stick them in a small cheap plastic container, and you're good to go. Or, if you're really cheap, then you can buy a pack of these, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124632571966 And just stick them on a couple of spare buttons...

There is always this guy telling another guy what the another guy thinks. That is so entitled, on a level a Gogeta fusion made by a Chad and a Karen would never dream to approach. What the f ck are you on about ? I quoted what the dev who is working on this said, I never said 5 years. GET A GRIP. The dev himself said it would take 1 man at least 5...

Maybe, just maybe, thinking this way: beginning work now is preparing for the future so that when is the future is ready to become publicly present, we won't have long to wait. The dev said 5 years, so it's much longer than you think. And this is just a Dreamcast, the PS2 is hugely more complex. Someone would have to code the MIPS III Emotion Engi...

To all intents and purposes, Meta IS Facebook.

Yep, you're right. I can't keep up with how many companies Facebook have. Instagram, as well.

Google, YouTube, Twitter, Meta and even Reddit, None of those companies require your REAL name, address, phone number, etc... and none of them can track you, and harvest your data like Facebook. Facebook are THE worst of the worst companies on the planet for data mining. I would NEVER register with ANY of their services. Mister stays HERE, where i...

Re: Acorn 28-AKF17 CRT Advice Sought

The Acorn AKF17 is an Archimedes 15hz Monitor, it was built for the first A3000 series (not the later A3010/A3020 etc..), and it's output was 15hz - Heck, you can even use it on a regular CRT TV. The Archimedes core has 15hz issues, and has never been fixed properly for a 15hz CRT.

Re: Acorn 28-AKF17 CRT Advice Sought

I believe the AKF-17 is really a rebadged Philips CM8833 MkII, and if that is correct, then the video pinouts should be the same. The following works on my CM8833 Mk II, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320754731999 Problem is, you won't be able to go straight from that cable to the Mister, you will need something like the following. https://www.ebay.co....

They are on eBay as well, but you might need to buy from a Chinese seller, or hope you have a seller in the EU.

Will this work for Arkanoid World ?

spinner_pid=0xFFFF
spinner_axis=0
spinner_throttle=50

Or do you just write Arkanoid, in the brackets ?
I have just made my own spinner using an Ultimarc USB SpinTrak, and it's really slow in Arkanoid.

Re: Advice about PVMs

One thing to add, in favour of PVMS. They're built like tanks, built to last, and take abuse. Most were used in film, and TV production, so had to be carried around everywhere the production company went. Hospitals also had them, but they were, more than often, better looked after, not moved around so much. I have a 2x Sony 9" HR Trinitrons, a...

Re: Advice about PVMs

They are definitely overpriced, especially the smaller, lower end PVMs - I regularly see them on eBay for £300-£400+, and at those prices they aren't worth that, although some still sell at those prices. £500 for a 20" model would be a good buy, in the current climate, and going by current prices. There are some well over a £1000, and that is ...

Lol, are you joking? Mister users are niche enthusiasts within a niche community within a niche hobby. In case you haven't noticed, people here live for this kind of stuff. Exactly. I actually find it quite funny, and sad, that someone can say they're not interested in a niche system, while at the same time wanting a core for a niche system (DE10)...

I'm fine with anything. I enjoy all "garbage" systems as much as the popular ones Exactly. Me too. I actually prefer the niche systems, more than the common systems, because you can buy any of the common systems on ebay for common prices - there are hundreds of Saturns/PS1/SNES/NES..etc... Yet, a Memotech MTX512, Enterprise 128, etc.. go...

Some games came with viruses, so IPF is no guarantee of anything. And writable IPFs will be just as vulnerable to external infection as writable ADFs.

You literally have no idea what you are on about. Just like 99.9% of your posts.

The way forward is IPF support, then nobody will have to deal with dodgy viruses, dodgy cracks, and crap 90s intros.
With IPF, it just works because it's a 1-to-1 copy of the original media, with copy protection intact.

It was. I had the first 1Mb Atari 1040ST to hit the UK sometime in 1986, and I loved it more than any of my later Amiga machines. I still have it here, in it's original box, second disk drive, 4Mb upgrade, AtariI SC1435 RGB Monitor, also have a modern UltraSatan, and a SD4ST.

I'm still waiting for my order (IPAC 2) to arrive, but due to Royal Mail strikes it's marked as late as Jan 6th, so I can't do much at the moment.
The only issue I have of the Couchcade is the size of it, it's too big for the desk my Mister is using.
