This is awesome, BUT for some reason, update_all has downloaded the ROM but not the core. Any ideas? I have tried several times.

Do you have unofficial cores enabled?

Haha no, I didn't. I worked it out last night. Thanks though!

Have you checked your vsync_adjust setting in your MiSTer.ini file?

Set it to vsync_adjust=2

Read more about it here: https://mister-devel.github.io/MkDocs_M ... t%20option

No, I haven't. Thanks, will check it out.

Is it me or is there serious input lag in the Lynx core?

I play a lot of Shanghai on my Odroid Go Advance when pooping (TMI). I booted it up on the MiSTer to have a play and I swear there must be nearly a second of delay between input and on screen movement. Other games aren't as bad but they still feel VERY laggy. What am I doing wrong? Wireless 2.4GHz 8bitdo M30 controller - no issues with other cores.

Re: I want to design the perfect "catch all" controller for MiSTer and emulation

Most people who own a MiSTer either... A)Use original console controllers B)Use numerous controllers that replicate the look/feel of specific consoles There are already a lot of controllers available that work well for multiple types of games, so thinking that there is a market for just ONE controller for ALL games is a bit unrealistic. I use the ...

Re: I want to design the perfect "catch all" controller for MiSTer and emulation

Yeah, I'm beginning to think it's a pointless endeavour. While you could make a controller that covers MOST cores, there will always be some sacrifices that have to be made and there will always be cores that it won't cover (most of the computer ones, oddball consoles). There is an interesting looking iPega out there that kinda matches my original ...

Re: I want to design the perfect "catch all" controller for MiSTer and emulation

Doesn't the 8Bitdo SN30 Pro cover the majority of bases well enough ? Dual analogue sticks and decent Dpad A gamepad style controller is not ideal for old computer cores where joysticks were used though, so there can never really be one controller to rule them all It only has four face buttons, like every other modern controller. Awful for Saturn,...

Re: I want to design the perfect "catch all" controller for MiSTer and emulation

I emailed 8bitdo approximately a decade ago with my own idea for an emulation controller. I had asked them make a PSX layout controller, but with up to 8 more mappable buttons that are not tied to existing buttons for FF,REW,Pause,SaveState,LoadState,FullScreen,ETC... With available PSX or Xbox layout controllers there are no extra buttons to use ...

I want to design the perfect "catch all" controller for MiSTer and emulation

It has come to my attention that there are currently no controllers on the market that are suitable for all console cores. You're either stuck with the PSX layout, that is great for SNES etc too, or the Saturn layout, that is great for Saturn and Mega Drive/SMS/arcade. I want to design or at least convince someone else to make a controller with the...

Re: Select Arcade Cores Not Working Properly (Black Screen, Visual Artifacts)

In case anyone runs into this glitch issue, I ran into it when using lastcore and having the timeout set to the default. Setting it to 30 seconds fixed it. For whatever reason Mister seems to need a little time to "warm up" before loading the Super Turbo core. If you haven't, try waiting a good 30 seconds before loading the ST core. That...

Unrelated but just wondering if you have to hold down the button for low gear? That's correct. I verified this with Jotego be...

Re: Out Run High Scores and World Record

I've been playing the superb Out Run by Jotego since it was released. When you look on Twin Galaxies they have the arcade world record at 52,897,690. Default settings, which means normal cars and normal time. I think the speed boost at the beginning is allowed, but I don't think the Gear Gacha cheat is, I'd be amazed if it is. So after playing for...

Late to the party but I'm having issues with SSF2T (graphical glitches), Turbo Out Run (major graphical glitches) and Super Hang On (bike shoots to the right and won't go back on the road). It seems I am ONLY having issues with Jotego cores - I'm using Update All - is there a better way?

Never mind - you can choose the button during initial joypad setup - I missed this as when I was setting up I only had the DE10 Nano and had to swap between keyboard and controller so didn't get all the way through mapping buttons. Told you it was a dumb question! LOL.

Dumb question about swapping menu buttons

Hi there, I can't seem to find info on this anywhere but is it possible to swap the buttons for 'menu accept' and 'menu back' like it is with Raspberry Pi? Basically, I want to have button B (down) as the 'accept/enter' button and button A (right) as 'go back' - the other way around messes with my tiny brain. LOL. I don't want to map the buttons ar...

OK that was the problem I was having. I bought a replica pro controller from Atariage, so those shared buttons were tripping me up. Now I can configure all the buttons correctly. Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future

Here's my wishlist in order of preference. I'm leaving Saturn off, as it's obviously on the way.

Console:
1. 3DO
2. Jaguar
3. FM Towns Marty
4. Amiga CD32
5. Neo Geo CD

Arcade:
Sega Model 1 (possible!?!)

Very happy with computer cores - can't think of any that I want as pretty much everything is covered!

Sega System 16 - no sound in Wonder Boy III

First off, this core is awesome. Just had a blast on Shinobi and it's amazing playing it with zero input lag. Took me right back to my childhood. A friend pointed out that Wonder Boy III has no sound. I checked on my MiSTer and he was right. So, I thought I'd mention it here - I hope this is the right place?
