The code the Dev posted shows it using an Analog input Yes, so? The game should work with d-pad/digital inputs. We spent several days of back and forth on the "issue" you opened claiming that you have a problem with "up" and "down" but now it turns out what you really are on about is that "analog joystick works a...

Similar things have been reported in the N64 core and every time its been that the user has bailed out of the Main Mister Joystick setup before they got to the analog stick setup. I bet this is the case here Nope. I reconfigured everything on my end here and set up mapping the proper correct way (on two seperate systems), and Up and Down are still...

The latest update somehow broke the main control arrows (u/d/r/l) in my browser (firefox) on desktop. Still works fine in opera mobile. Wonder what could have caused that. Thanks for mentioning it was on firefox desktop! I think I worked it out. I have to fix a couple other issues before I do a release so you can try it here: https://www.dropbox.c...

Bug/glitch: When returning to the main ags menu from within a game, a lot of times screenshots are not displayed anymore. You have to reset the amiga to see them again. This issue has been present before as well.

With the python script pf2png you can convert the .pf files to a png image. You should be able to figure out which font comes closest to the one you are looking for with those.

So you advise me not to buy it? Have you tried it in Missile Command or other Centipede type games? Re: Wico Command Trackball

Only with SNAC and SNAC supported cores. Kind of limits the list of games that you can play with this device - if at all since it is pretty useless. I have one as well, only tried it a few times. From my memory I only played Breakout on Atari2600 with it but for the rest it works in complete digital mode - it doesn't behave like a real trackball.

And yes, I thought that truly configurable keys would be somewhat of a hassle indeed too. So sure, having a few predetermined keys is a good alternative, we can always remap them all over the place anyway. Let me know if the buttons are ok :) Ha, cool. Thanks!! Some UIX experts may disagree with the decision to show buttons that may have no clear ...

Re: MiSTer Extensions - Remote

I really love this idea! I've put it on the list. A major roadblock I see is actually the UI to define the keys. This is kind of a complex interaction and would take some time to put together. Currently remote also doesn't actually save anything to your mister except the search index, so I need to add in something to store settings like this. How ...

Thank you! Hope it's useful for you Absolutely. It's the best way to add menu functionality without touching the main menu system (which should stay as it is imho, the less feature creep the better) It also makes it possible to easily start and config games in an arcade cab without having to add a keyboard. Very useful I say, and fun too! Without ...

Re: 1084 Monitor With Background Noise When Changing Cores

I have the same issues with my 1084 monitors. As earlier said here in the thread - they are prone to pick up all kinds of interference. Your cables are ok, no harm is done and there is nothing you can do to prevent it. (apart from moving your mobile several meters out of the way - that will save you at least some noise)

after looking at this for a while, there is seemingly no options available on my tv to do with the resolution of the image, or otherwise how it handles incoming video information. I can toggle between 4:3 and Expand 4:3, the latter of which seems to add a little bit of scaling to the top and bottom of the image. i can live with everything except f...

Re: MiSTer analog video over YPbPr/Component woes

Most of the issues you describe (rotating display, no sync on scandoubling) are expected and normal when using analogue video on a 15Khz display. Except for the rolling screen - which most likely is an issue with your TV, it looks like your TV is trying to guess what signal it receives and changes its settings based on that. There should be some op...

Re: Tapper Arcade Video Resolution

So, as I understand, MCR3 is a true interlaced video system (480i), and MiSTer core outputting progressive 240p video on analog display is an imperfection of the core? Yes and no. 480i and 240p refer to a digital standard. Obviously MCR systems do not carry those, but they do use a different interlacing technique to get a kind of 'super-hires' mod...

Also, PVMs can run both PAL and NTSC signals. Pretty handy if you want to run Commodore 64 and Commodore Amiga stuff.

Every device with RGBS input can do this. My 1084 runs both PAL and NTSC without issues.

Any more advocates for paying a high price for a PVM over a CRT? Or is the statement above somewhat accurate at least!! PVM == CRT. But to answer your question more directly, and as others have said in this thread too: a consumer trinitron tv is just as good as one of them sony pvm's. Also, as others have said, the older commodore 1084/ philips 88...
