Perhaps it is an issue that occurs when booting with the setup disk and transitioning to the setup screen.

Re: FDD Support Based on ao486 Implementation

FDD does not work properly when using 8086bios with PCXT_20230120.rbf or later release versions. The point of change from PCXT_20230114 to PCXT_20230120 should be investigated. Re: PCXT Core Access to Secondary SD Card

Having created a simple assembler, I am creating a program to access the SD card using SPI. However, since this is just replacing a complex combinational circuit with a RAM or ROM block, I am not sure how much of a resource reduction I can expect. Don’t get your hopes up. I’m not that good. ;) No matter, any improvement is good, and for me it is, ...

Re: PCXT Core Access to Secondary SD Card

It might be better to replace the KFMMC state machine with a micro sequencer. I've already seen that you've started a new microsequencer project in your GitHub repository ;-) If it is finally applied to SD handling, the more modest, XC6SLX9 -based models will be greatly favoured... and possibly it will be possible to add Adlib sound again, among o...

Re: PCXT Core Access to Secondary SD Card

The resources of the original ZXUno FPGA ( Xilinx XC6SLX9 ) are starting to become too scarce for this core, the SD implementation takes up enough space and I had to disable Adlib and Tandy Sound . Re: PCXT Core Access to Secondary SD Card

The following changes can be made to stop using the open drain output (change to push-pull output) to speed up the transfer rate. It is working fine in my development environment.(32GB SD + MiSTer) However, releases should be made with caution, as incorrect implementation can damage hardware. https://github.com/kitune-san/PCXT_MiSTer/commit/0ec0d98...

By the way, are there any constraints for the direct(?) PS/2 port written in the SDC file?
If not, and if the input results are unstable, writing constraints may improve the issue.

Re: Extend PCXT Development to Improve MiSTer Core (DeMiSTify Ports)

Even on the MiSTer, a "keys repetition" occurs when a key is pressed and held down. 5160BIOS is used, a beep sound is also sounded. I don't believe the key repeat function is a problematic behavior. However, stop keyboard input and beeping are problems. This also occurs with MiSTer. (Especially when using the 5160BIOS.) Perhaps this is ca...

The keyboard error in the diagnostic BIOS also occurred on my patched MiSTer. (https://github.com/kitune-san/PCXT_DeMi ... 9fa62f72d2)
I will take a look at the waveforms a bit and report back if I can find a countermeasure.

Re: Extend PCXT Development to Improve MiSTer Core (DeMiSTify Ports)

The reason for the error in diagnostic BIOS is not clear without seeing the waveform.

Also, if the transfer rate of the PS/2 keyboard is fast and stuck, it is still necessary to drop the clock to low after reception.
Or add a keycode FIFO.

Re: Extend PCXT Development to Improve MiSTer Core (DeMiSTify Ports)

I'm beginning remember. I think at the time I was only thinking of running it on MiSTer. The PS/2 module uses 4 signals (ps2_kbd_clk_out, ps2_kbd_clk_in, ps2_kbd_data_out, ps2_kbd_data_in) in MiSTer. This is different from the actual bidirectional signals. Perhaps in MiSTer, ps2_x_in does not go low when the ps2_x_out signal is low. (It stays high)...

In addition, adding the following commits will eliminate the 101 error.
However, keyboard input during diagnostics will cause the keyboard to get stuck.

Probably difficult to improve further.

Hmmm. Sometimes the keyboard stops working. (e.g. Area5150) :|

I am currently trying to come up with a solution. However, these solutions may affect other behaviors. Therefore, this issue may remain for the time being. Re: POST Error 101 on CTRL-ALT-DEL

As part of the BIOS diagnostics, there is an IMR test for the 8259A. In that test, when IMR = 0h and Timer 0 output = H, the issue seems to occur. In other words, the timing at which CTRL-ALT-DEL is input determines whether 101 occurs or not. The 8259 test in the normal reset state is before Timer 0 starts counting, so no interrupt is generated eve...
