Re: Show Us Your MiSTers

Here is my MiSTer build. My Retro Computer MyVic20 Mini-ITX Case This inspired me to do the same (though honestly, not that much of a choice out there if you want an integrated keyboard in your build)... I got recommended this PSU first, but it did not work ! Had to get this , slightly more expensive option instead. The brick which comes with that...

Re: Show Me Your To-Go MiSTer Case!

Here's my other "to go" MiSTer setup Classics (NES/SNES mini) case with Misteraddons MiSTer, retrobit controller, original NES controller converted to USB, 4tb drive with all my games, and 5a power supply, and associated cables. The retrobit doesn't fit in the case (cable is super long) but I just hang it out the top, it's really only for...

Re: MiSTer Not Saving Core Settings

Figured it out in the end. I had Super Attract Mode installed and that was the culprit. Uninstalling SAM restored the MiSTer's ability to save core settings. Shame I have to abandon SAM, because I quite liked it. But needs must. Thanks for the help charmless! Thank you for figuring it out. I was having the exact issue (core settings not saving) as...

Re: Controller Mappings Lost Every Cold Boot

Finally! Fixed! After reading this thread viewtopic.php?t=5321 and realizing the issue was very similar, I disabled SAM on my MiSTer and all issues have disappeared. Ask my CORE settings now save, any controller I setup keeps it's settings after reboot. No more SAM on my MiSTer.

Re: Show Me Your To-Go MiSTer Case!

Not so compact, but I like it, here is mine: travelling light.. :) i have to say though, that's a lovely plan chest and set of drawers in the background too.. I have an aluminum Misteraddons unit as well for grab and go, but I like the all in one, LCD built in, just needs power and play of this unit. Plus I had an empty Dolch PAC shell so .. why n...

Re: Controller Mappings Lost Every Cold Boot

So it turns out it's not fixed. I just thought it was. When I do the "configure joystick" on the MiSTer, the file is created, if I FTP in and save that file to my computer, then shut down the MiSTer, eject the SD Card, put it in my PC, and copy the file over (the file disapears upon shutdown), it's good from then on with that joystick. Bu...

Re: Controller Mappings Lost Every Cold Boot

If you've cleared the directory from all mappings and then restarted the core, reassigned the buttons and saved those settings it should create a new mapping file, is that file correctly saved? I got it! So the first few times I was doing it I was using FileZilla to delete the directory contents. It would say it was deleted, even report an empty d...

Re: Controller Mappings Lost Every Cold Boot

I don't have a sollution to your problem. But I have the same controller (but the black one) and I tested it for the first time after reading your post. I mapped the controller both in the MiSTer main menu and then in the genesis core. Tried a game to make sure it worked and then did a cold reboot. Booted up the Genesis core again and tried a game...

I do. And I actually went into the config directory and wiped everything out of that folder (backed it up first), and still no go.

Controller Mappings Lost Every Cold Boot

Hey guys. I'm having some issues with controller mappings on my Mister. I've searched and tried eveything I can think of but it's just not saving controller mappings upon cold reboot. Here's the situatoin: I have an old USB converted NES controller, it works just fine, no matter the reboots, cold boots, anything, it's rock solid, in the main Mister...

Re: Super Game Boy SNES core with MSU

It's probably something I'm doing, but when I use the Super Game Boy Player I can select the SGB bios, then when I go to select the .GB ROM, I only see any ROMS that are on the SD card, not the external USB drive I use. Took me a while becaues I only have one .GB ROM on my SD Card for testing. I can see the Game boy Roms just fine with the Game boy...

Re: Mr. Gimmick some graphics missing

Heh...what a brilliant little game. And people say that Euro platformers suck... It's a Japanese game. It was released in PAL regions but not North America. There are ways of playing it in bith 60 Hz and English. There's a US prototype, and there's at least one ROM hack/patch available. I wonder if the prototype is the full game? If so I'll play t...

Mr. Gimmick some graphics missing

Wondering if anyone else can test the Mr. Gimmick (Europe) .nes rom and see if the bottom "stats" screen is messed up like mine? Here's a screenshot of what it should look like: 267026-mr-gimmick-nes-screenshot-a-cannon-ball-is-about-to-land-on.png And you can see mine at the bottom where it shows the score, inventory items, ect is all me...

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers

The names Dolch, MiSTer Dolch :D Greetings, I collect Dolch Pac Luggables and in the process had aquired an empty shell (its pretty scratched, I think it was pulled from the bottom of a recycle bin), so when it came time to build myself a consolized MiSTer, I figured I'd kit it out inside a Dolch Pac. You can see the soon to be doner on the bottom ...
