Re: MiSTer Nuked-MD Mega Drive Core

On what emulator(s)? What you're describing really hasn't been a thing in the past decade on virtually all software emulation (except possibly playing NTSC on PAL displays). Higan, Bsnes, Mesen, Mame. You want to see what I am talking about? Load up Chrono Trigger, go to the Millenial Fair, and then sprint back and forth at the widest part of the ...

Re: MiSTer Nuked-MD Mega Drive Core

I'm not sure I can get on board with that definition of 'accuracy'...fidelity, perhaps. I have never been able to play a single game on software emulation without one of the following: Audio Glitches, V-Tearing, or Stutter. Getting rid of two always leaves one. For years I played with the stutter you get from sync issues thinking it was slowdown t...

Oh, is there any difference between Sega System roms and Master System roms? Like is fantasy zone the same on both?

Re: Death Race not working

I think the rom already had a nes 2.0 header. I ran the script and it didn't alter the rom at all, has the same md5 before and after.

edit: yeah I checked with mesen, it already did have a nes 2.0 header

Is There a Script to Turn Bluetooth Off/On?

so I can just leave my bt dongle plugged in and conserve resources when I'm not using a bt controller. or is this something that ultimately doesnt matter? is the dongle doing anything other than powering a tiny blue led when a device isnt connected to it?

Re: Analogue N64 Product

Only if you plug in a Super Gameboy or Sega SMS adapter. so nobody should expect to be able to play anything but n64 on this thing. lots of people were expecting to play multiple systems on their super nt like the original nt, I know I was thinking of getting one when it came out for that reason. I'm glad I didnt pull the trigger (the scummy $40 s...

Re: Analogue N64 Product

They also never announced jailbreaking possibilities in the past, yet it's always been there. And this system will update its firmware via SD, like previous ones. I suspect they're just overly careful with their official messaging for plausible denial. At least I hope so, it would be the difference between getting it or passing it for me. And I ag...

Re: The “Cycle Accurate” Conundrum and Is There a List of Cores That Are?

for how great and accurate Higan and bsnes supposedly were, I was never able to get smooth performance out of either of them. I had been playing snes games on higan, then bsnes, for over ten years thinking those scrolling hitches were how a real snes behaved, haven't having touched a real snes in over 20 years. Re: Controller Doesn’t Work After a Cold Reboot

what official hub are you guys talking about? its a little 4 port otg usb hub plugged into the de10nano's usb port, made by makerspot or something like that. I doubt its the hub. Okay I tested further and the remapping was setup correctly. Same key codes are being displayed in Input Test's Advanced screen, but remapped keys simply don't work when setting up controllers. That utility completely ignores remapped keys.

Re: Space and Enter Not Mapping Correctly

I'm having a similar problem. I mapped a bunch of hotkeys to a wireless numpad so I wouldnt need an entire keyboard just for a handful useful functions. my keys for opening the mister menu, taking screenshots, saving and loading, and everything else works just fine, but whenever I setup a controller and need to hit space to leave undefined, or ente...

Controller Doesn’t Work After a Cold Reboot

This happens every time I cold reboot and when update_all auto reboots. My controller isn't detected at all. I have to either unplug/re-plug the controller or turn off/on the mister for my controller to work again. This is every controller I've used so far, all plugged in via an otg usb hub.

madlittlepixel has his video for it now, for anyone interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZeLiei-8ns Don't read too much into the title of the video - The part he's a little unhappy about is it not working with things it's not (yet) officially compatible with, one of those being the Analog Pocket dock, which might be relevant for some here. ...

how come none of the filters alternate where the lines are drawn to simulate interlaced scan? like draw scanlines every odd line for one frame, then every even line for the next frame, then repeat.

Is there a way to set a new Autofire toggle key?

Having it share the same key as open menu is really frustrating on controllers without any unused buttons. Every time I press my 2 button combo to open the menu one of the buttons has auto fire toggled on. So then I have to try to toggle it back off which leads to either the menu opening up again, or the other button getting toggled on. I sometimes...
