Re: MiSTer single board concept
Do you have anything other than an idea of where all of the ports should be located? If you don't even have a blueprint don't expect people to take you seriously
If your username is true and you're the person behind SD2SNES then I'd welcome you making this project a reality, but if not then buzz off.

Re: What Are the Reasons to Own a MiSTer Without a CRT?
As someone who runs Linux and hates Retroarch, emulators can often be a pain to setup. The MiSTer being plug and play is really nice.
Also, being able to fit in my hoodie pocket is really nice. On days that I don't have anything going on I'll bring it around and hook it up at school. The teachers love it

Re: What Are the Reasons to Own a MiSTer Without a CRT?
Super Gameboy emulation isn't quite there yet. The MiSTer handles that system flawlessly

Re: Audio pop issue on power and when loading cores?
Not sure why this wasn't happening before, but yeah when loading a core or resetting your MiSTer, this is normal (at least, it has been for me during the brief time I used aux audio. I've switched to TOSLINK).
Maybe you turned off noise cancellation on your speaker.

Honestly, there should be a mappable screenshot button. I don't like having to switch to a keyboard every time I want to take a screenshot.

Re: N64 Core
Correct. I'm running MiSTer stable, so the database file can't be read. I've been setting things manually for each game.
OoT redux isn't in the database file anyways since it's a romhack. Evidently it uses the expansion pak.

Re: N64 Core
I got the error E008000, which from my understanding is when the game tries to write to ram where there is none. Upon enabling the expansion pak, the problem is fixed.

I used patcher64++ to dink around and customize it. The rom boots on Project64 but not on MiSTer. Standard OoT and other games work fine

Unless a programmer out there proves me wrong, this would come at the end of the MiSTer's lifespan, when there's nothing more important to add to the project.
I intepreted the initial post as "how many players are playing a game at any given moment?"
I feel silly

I wouldn't reccomend interfacing with scripts over a CRT. Many don't work with one.

Hearing my prayer, 8bitdo is working on N64 controllers They look pretty good, I'll be interested in the stick range. Most aftermarket pads have ranges that are off by some, so hopefully this alliviates that.

Old Arcade games use a unique board per game, leading to these games having 1 core just for themselves. 1 core for 22 games isn't too absurd
