Re: No video when dvi_mode=0

Understandable and you're right, it should work - it's not as if you're asking for something hugely complex from it :)
Hopefully a firmware update will fix.

Re: No video when dvi_mode=0

I did think the likely culprit could be the KVM switch when reading that. I have a similar setup although use optical for the sound into a DAC which has a source select button so I can switch between Mister & PC. Also use a HDMI switcher (just behind) for another device. If I want switch between monitor speakers & headphones on PC, rather t...

Re: 8Bitdo Ultimate Controller

I bought it when it first came out, and 2.4ghz didn't do anything, but then I tried it again at a later point and it did. My assumption is a driver was created, but I can't confirm that. I just know it's working. Is there anything special one must do to get 2.4ghz to work or is it supposed to be plug and play? I have tried plugging in the dongle a...

Re: ao486 Config for a Plain Old CRT TV

For those with 15khz monitors, I finally got ao486 working perfectly on my PVM with this line (suggested earlier in the thread): video_mode=640,6,56,66,224,14,8,18,1200 It looks absolutely perfect, like it's the proper native resolution (320x200). I also changed the setting to use the native aspect ratio so that the screen isn't stretched slightly...

It is now auto-reconnecting, i was being too impatient :D So good/bad news - good in that it is fixed. Bad as I feel silly for not realizing before posting :D

Thank you

Interesting , perhaps I was a bit too eager to access the menus on last test. I'll boot up again in a min and leave it on OSD menu and let you know

Remember wireless password? Or even better, auto-connect?

Hi all, I did search for this but could not find anything, I use the wireless dongle to connect my Mister to the internet and then FTP to the folders I need. It is a bit long winded starting the Wifi Script each time and even longer putting my password in - is there a way to auto-connect on boot or at least save my password please? Once connected i...

Re: Any idea on how to correct this?

Awesome! Looks great! Enjoy! You might be able to move the vga_mode=rgb line up to the top section and get rid of the Menu section since the rest are the same. I am afraid your CRT might not work right while running cores otherwise. Thank you :D Just moved it up and all still working nicely :) it also seems to be starting up into menus (and genera...

Re: Any idea on how to correct this?

Thank you, the only issue now is that pink hue on HD monitor - the CRT is working beautifully in menus and cores. The HD monitor is also working perfectly in cores, it's jut that pink hue that would be nice to fix. The issue is this line: [menu] direct_video=1 If I delete that, HD screen is perfect but then crt is not showing scripts menus or backg...

Re: Any idea on how to correct this?

Did you run an actuall diff on the two ini files or only a visual inspection? Just using the scripts in menu on Mister and manually changing settings as not able to connect remotely at the moment. Any idea on how to correct this?

Hello, I've been messing/tweaking/learning and having a lot of fun with the Mister and recently swapped SD cards. If you could please see the attached - i'm getting a double screen on my CRT (HD monitor is fine) - I know it is not my monitor at fault as when I put the old SD card back in, all is ok again. I've had a good look over the .ini (admitte...

Re: Can't edit ini_settings

Have you accidently loaded the alternative .ini (which is easy to do) - if you hit 'Esc' key and then use cursor keys to ensure 'Main' is selected (you might need to go to the left screen once you press the 'esc' key, i can't remember).

Re: Not being assigned an IP ethernet?

Thanks both that has made it clearer and I am starting to see what is happening. I did not know that you had a Wi-Fi dongle on your PC Yes but just to confirm as a receiver , it is not sending out a signal by hot-pointing (I am using a Asus PCE-AC88 wifi card inside desktop) . I am receiving the connection from my wireless router some distance away...

Thanks both - that's starting to make sense and would explain it. The desktop PC I am using to connect to the Mister is away from my main router and I am connecting over wifi (to the internet). I do have a wifi dongle installed on the Mister so perhaps it will be best connect to it over wireless? A shame as my Mister is right next to the desktop an...

Re: Not being assigned an IP ethernet?

Thanks Bas,

Sure . It's a direct connection from the Ethernet port on the Mister (the opposite end of where the VGA cable is inserted) to the ethernet port on my motherboard (Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller). I'm using a 'Cat6 Molded Slim UTP Ethernet Cable'.

Automatic (DHCP) is on.

Not being assigned an IP ethernet?

Hello, Recently moved over to a different desktop computer and connected my Mister via Ethernet same as before, but i'm now not being assigned an IP address (the 'Lan' image is not being shown on the Mister to indicate a connection either). All Was Going Well but Then I Updated All

Hi all, A happy new year to you all. Everything was going great with my Mister and recently had both crt, hd monitors setup nicely and bluetooth keyboard + mouse running great :) I did an update.all from the Mister and all seemed to go ok, but now I cannot access my .ini from the menu (it just goes straight back to the menu), nor can I access Wifi ...
