Re: Bootloader Changes?
That all makes sense. The specific symptoms after updating to 20211112 are: Blue power LED (back left corner if LAN port is facing forwards) lights, all 8 green LEDs to the left of LAN port dimly lit, and no video signal via HDMI. USB devices and add-on boards make no difference. If IO board and fan are installed, fan spins up normally. No video si...

Re: No longer getting video output after update
Additional info/correction: It's enough to write boot only (files are not needed) with v20210917 and video out works again. This is reproducible: Every time update_all updates to v20211112 video out is lost (at least with my setup). It still works after the reboot after the update. But after a complete power cycle video out is gone. This same exac...

Re: Bootloader Changes?
Try downloading and replacing the menu.rbf file That doesn't help. It's definitely the bootloader. Yep. I edited the initial post to clarify the specific problem. Well just checked mine and it's also a revision C and it works fine. I even created a new SD Card from scratch and updated it and it works. So there goes that theory. What would be the b...

Re: Bootloader Changes?
How is the USB hub attached? Bridge or Bracket? Sorry I edited my post after you posted this. Disassembled my Mister to only the de10 nano (no add on boards or usb devices-- only sd card and power) and it won't boot after updating the bootloader to 20211112. Boots fine again after reverting to 20210917. EDIT: I should add that I've tried multiple ...

Re: Bootloader Changes?
From the November 12 update: -Change reset type to "cold reset" while loading core from USB blaster or LXDE. So make sure bootloader is updated. (Official updater will take care of that). Out of curiosity, and maybe help troubleshoot, what do you have plugged in to the DE10-Nano? Boards, usb devices, SDRAM. Using HDMI/vga/converters... A...

Bootloader Changes?
Does anyone happen to know what changes were made to the bootloader in release 20211112? For whatever reason, my de10 nano fails to boot after updating, but can be fixed by reverting [only] the bootloader to the one in release 20210917. EDIT: I would clarify that this is different from the problem described in this thread: https://misterfpga.org/vi...

Re: Cannot boot after upgrade
By looking your log file I didn't see anything weird. Then I've tried to do the exact same steps 2 times without issues (well, except running wifi.sh cause I don't have a working dongle). Could you try to do the setup in another SD card and report back? I'm sorry that you are having problems, but with your collaboration we might be able to find so...

Re: MiSTer fails to boot after updating
To fix my problem, I downloaded release_20210917.7z and did "Update Boot" from Mister SD Card Utility.exe and it boots again.
https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/SD-Inst ... 0210917.7z
I dont know if using an older bootloader will cause any problems (haven't noticed anything so far) but at least it boots.

Re: Cannot boot after upgrade
Could you please share the log when you run downloader.sh or update_all.sh ? Downloader log is found at: /media/fat/Scripts/.config/downloader/downloader.log Update All log is found at: /media/fat/Scripts/.config/update_all/update_all.log We will most probably find the root cause over there Ok I just did a fresh install using Mr. Fusion 2.3, ran w...

Re: Cannot boot after upgrade
In your case you were running the old updater, where the black screen issue is not fixed. You should run the downloader instead, never update.sh You should be able to update Linux without problem with the downloader. Let me know if that helps. No updater script works for me. I've tried update.sh, update_all.sh and downloader.sh, the latest version...

Re: Cannot boot after upgrade
OK, so right now I have it booting again with the 20210917 bootloader and everything else latest-- performed a full update using scripts, system hangs at boot, ran the SD Card Utility within the 20210917 release and did "Update Boot", system boots fine again. I've also set update_linux = 'false' in downloader.ini. Are there any downsides ...

Re: Cannot boot after upgrade
I'm having the exact same problem. All I do is install using Mr. Fusion 2.3, run wifi.sh to connect to wifi, run update.sh to update. Works fine until power cycle, then nothing. I can repeat this over and over (and have done so while attempting to figure out what's going on) with the same results. Power cycling after a fresh install works fine, it'...

MiSTer fails to boot after updating
This isn't the black screen / no video problem stated here: https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=3708 https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=3247 Updating renders my Mister completely unresponsive after power cycling-- the fan spins up, I can see a blue led, but nothing else. No video, no network access, nothing. I tried both th...

Re: Thanks for all the work on the C64
The original does? I have a .g64 image of the original disk and it gives up after several seconds. There's a .d64 image floating around with an exact same disk directory and an Electronic Arts logo on load, but I assume it has copy protection silently removed. The original disk had a PirateSlayer copy protection. You're right. My .g64 image gets s...

Re: Thanks for all the work on the C64
I brought up a while back that Skate or Die wasn't loading on the C64 core (would hang every time after the EA screen, just before the title screen) but it now works fine on every version I've tried, original or cracked. Thanks for all the work on this core (and all the others)!
