Re: Insert Coin
Try loading the core, map the buttons, save the core settings, then load a ROM.

Re: Connecting Retro Fighters Defender (Bluetooth)
If it's like the Brawler 64 Bluetooth, unplug the USB cable and turn it off and hold the sync button on the back and A to change it to X-Input mode, then it should pair with your MiSTer by Bluetooth.

Re: N64 ScummVM Port - Saving?
It's not an FPGA core but there is a Linux port of SCUMMVM for MiSTer.

Re: N64 Core
It swaps the interlaced fields. Generally leave it turned off unless you're using a CRT at 480i and, even then, you probably want to leave it turned off.

Have you tried it without the patch?

Re: NFS Support
I'm not sure why but an update in the last week broke my nfs_mount.sh script. I had to comment out line 134, which was throwing an error. "done." isn't a valid command.

I have a related question: Is there a dual RAM version of the MemTest core? Currently, the core only tests RAM in GPIO slot 0.

Re: N64 Core Possibility? (Update! Robert Is Working On This Core!)
It's worth noting that the N64's MIPS R4300i CPU contained about 1.7 million transistors, over 10x the logic elements in DE-10 Nano's FPGA (110,000), and the RSP transistor count is 2.6 million. There are undoubtedly some optimizations that can and have been made but it may never be possible to fully emulate the N64 at full speed on this hardware.

If you're just looking for file management, try WinSCP over SSH.
