Re: AmigaOS 3.2 not working correctly
With 3.2(.2) you can even boot from the AmigaOS 3.2 CD by chaging the boot device using early startup

Re: Installing OS3.9 on minimig-aga
You have to create the Emergency floppy first from 3.1. That's quite easy. Boot 3.1 workbench, enable the cdrom (move the CD driver from Storage: to Dev:), reboot, insert the 3.9 ISO, start the installation and create the emergency floppy. Boot with that, and install 3.9. Quite doable on MiSTer.

If possible use a NAS. Ethernet is much faster.

The USB is quite slow on the De10-Nano. That's the reason.

MT32 and Space Quest 3
During the intro, the music stops a bit abrupt before going futher into the intro. The first song doesn't seem to get finished.
I use 1920x1080@60hz, but it happens as well with @50hz. I suspect the video fps is faster than it really should.
Or is my monitor to blame?

Re: MiSTerArch
Quick question: Why do you use both tar and gz? I don't see a reason to use tar when it's only one file.
Also, using zstd is a lot quicker, and still compress quite good.

Re: Possible problem with latest version of AO486 (March 1st update)
You need some hacks in order to install Windows 95. The easiest IMHO is to put the hard drive in IDE 1-0, and CD-rom in IDE 1-1. Either that you use this guide: https://www.jamesfmackenzie.com/2021/03 ... 5-install/

Re: MegaAGS 2022.02.22 Available
This is probably a WHDLoad bug, can you reproduce on a real Amiga? Don't have one, sorry. But I can try to emulate it on my Pi to see if it happens there as well. I can confirm a crash after about 30 minutes on my MiSTer and no crash after an hour+ on my CD32 (before I decided over an hour of that 2 minute song was enough--even for me ;-) ) I also...

Re: MiSTerArch
True about btrfs, but that has been said for alomost 10 years now ;-) Jokes aside, btrfs has gotten a lot better. I'm not just sure if its a good match for a SD card and the sdcard reader on the de10-nano. Compared to the sdcard reader on the Pi4, the de10 nano is *slooooow* (20MB/s vs 45MB/s write speed). One very good thing about MiSTerArch is th...

Re: MiSTerArch
I created a 4GB vhd sparse file on BTRFS and formatting during Windows 95 setup failed. Sometimes it failed during installation instead (and the whole core froze) - It *might* have to do with me using zstd for compression. I don't have the numbers, as I rather take a "feel" on how long the formatting and installation goes. ext4 was about ...

Re: MiSTerArch
Ok, I've now tried MiSTerArch with both btrfs and ext4 to check out how they compare performance wise.
ext4 is the clear winner. Both performance wise and utility. Sparse files does not crash on ext4, while on btrfs formatting fails when using AO486.
BTRFS has it's uses, but I would rather recommend going for ext4 on SD cards.

Re: MiSTerArch
The benefits are that you'll get a full linux distribution, and a great package manager. It's a replacement, but it's for advanced users. Boot times are a bit longer, but still only a couple of seconds boot time. I'm using it now with BTRFS, which is quite cool. I was hoping that I could use sparse images, but that has some issues at least with the...

Re: Network card
Having an emulated NE2000 would be interesting for OS'es that expect such networking like Windows NT, flavors of UNIX, Novell Netware etc. So "need" is a very strong word, but it'd still be appreciated. I agree with you. With a emulated network card the setup on the core's would be easier. That said, if OP just wanted a network connectio...

None of the cores have ethernet (at least not yet), but they do support TCPIP over PPP. Perhaps PPP is enough for you, or is there a spesific reason why need ethernet on the cores?
