Re: Converting EEP and SRM Saves to .sav

I'm attempting to copy my Dr. Mario 64 file from my N64's Everdrive X7 to the MiSTer N64 core. The original file is called Dr. Mario 64 (USA).eep and 512 bytes in size. I've renamed it to Dr. Mario 64 (USA).sav and placed it in MiSTer's saves\N64 folder. The ROM name is exactly the same as the save file's name but the save isn't being recognised in...

Re: Using GBA as a controller?

Managed to get it working - I just had to put the GBA into controller mode using GBI Player on a GameCube or the GBA-as-Controller utility (requires a flash cart) first then connect it to the Mayflash adaptor while it's still on.

Using GBA as a controller?

Has anyone managed to get a GBA working as a controller on MiSTer? If so, how did you manage it? I'm using my AGB-001 GBA -> Nintendo DOL-011 Gamecube-GBA adaptor -> Mayflash GC 4-port controller adaptor (PC mode) -> MiSTer USB Hub 2.1 but button presses do not register in any of the menus including 'Define joystick buttons'. I tried a GameCube con...

Hi Ricardo, I've been looking to return my HDMI-VGA adaptor and VGA-SCART cable to you after receiving the all-in-one SCART cable as a replacement. Could you let me know your address so I can return them to you please?

I got mine recently from ultimatemister.com and it's been excellent. Looks like the DB9 one is currently out of stock but Ricardo does tend to restock regularly (within weeks if not days).

Re: Split core into separete cores for SMS and GG

This feature was added specifically for addressing this particular concern, and for 7800 core as well. YMMV, be aware if you use any features of the updater that place files it cannot be aware of any name changes you have made, and you will have to manually symlink any kinds of cheats or what have you that you may want to carry over. It'd be nice ...

Re: MiSTer to Consumer CRT Direct Video RGB SCART Output Issues

Yes all I had to do was cycle through the inputs on the TV from VCR to AV even though the TV only has the one SCART socket and no built-in VCR. Shows how long it is since I've used a CRT

Thanks Ricardo and everyone for your help!

Where can I find the option to disable Scandoubler FX for the main menu? I've not got as far as getting into any of the cores.

MiSTer to Consumer CRT Direct Video RGB SCART Output Issues

Just hooked up my MiSTer with Digital I/O Board 1.2 to my Panasonic TX-14S3T PAL CRT via Direct Video using a HDMI to VGA converter and a VGA to SCART cable purchased from UltimateMister.com but I'm getting a garbled output on the main menu: sUF49Jd.jpeg My video chain is MiSTer > HDMI to VGA Direct Video converter > VGA to SCART cable > Panasonic ...

Re: Update All/MAME Getter - download ROMs to NAS?

I'm getting the error 'Inexistent or small rom folder detected. /media/usb0/_Arcade: no such file or directory'. I don't have any USB drives attached, only SD card and SMB share accessed via Ethernet. I'm guessing the usb0 part of those paths work is incorrect given this?

Update All/MAME Getter - download ROMs to NAS?

I''ve mounted a CIFS share on my NAS to MiSTer so that it looks there first when loading ROMs. I have my arcade ROMs stored on my NAS and the arcade cores load them from there with no problems. However, I'd like the MAME Getter and HBMAME Getter scripts in Update All to download any ROMs to that same folder on my NAS instead of /mister/sdcard/games...

Is there any point in using or keeping the update_jotego.sh script if update_all with 'Install beta cores' set to true is required to download the latest publically available Jotego cores? Or has it already been deprecated?

Thanks, just tried that tool and it seems to output a 21KB .sav file which is the same size as the one generated by Krikzz's 16to8 utility (I suspect both tools do the same thing). Still no joy with it being recognised unfortunately.

Transferring MegaSD Mega CD save to MiSTer

I'd like to transfer my Snatcher save from my MegaSD (having saved to internal backup RAM in the game) to the MiSTer Mega CD core. The MegaSD produces two files - Snatcher (USA).bak and Snatcher (USA).SRM and my game folder on MiSTer is also named Snatcher (USA). I've copied Snatcher (USA).SRM to \\mister\fat\saves\MegaCD\ and renamed it to Snatche...

Been enjoying this core as an A3010 owner in the mid-90s! Any chance .hdf support could be added? I'd love to be able to use the hard disk image from my original system.
