Re: Found the English translation of x68000 games
XDF and HDM are the same format. You can convert them to D88 with the hdm2d88.py script in my signature. thx, theres a few converters i didnt have yet, i can confirm the dim2d88.py working https://pastebin.com/vx4ud7gs actually a thread with nothing but converters and tools to easily inject stuff into hard disk files per respective cores for linux...

Re: Mass MSA to ST Disk Format Converter
yea a thread , i mean a script for the scripts folder that has a download list of existing converters which allow you to convert files on the mister itself would be great too if someone with enough savvy could handle that another one i used so far : https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?t=165&start=90 dim288.py , seems to work tho i havent teste...

Re: Has anyone tried a 1TB MicroSD card in their MiSter?
1TB are very overpriced - that way I could get 2x 512GB cheaper. I have 512GB and wondering if will be option to use IO Board's sd slot as additional storage, but I heard that it is not possible. yea 1 and 2 tb overhere too are still not equally priced for the gigs you get comparted to 512/256, personally i went back from a 512 card to a 128 (was ...

Re: Mega65-MiSTer
is this still alive, i was thinking this week other than a jag and a falcon030 , the new machines like mega64 and commanderx16 are definitely missing in my mister list ... assuming the x16 is open source there wouldnt be a problem and since the thing can run a sharp x68k i assume both other machines should be possible - however, i hear and see not...

Re: MSX core by Molekula and Princess Paloma’s Rescue - no sound?
The official released MSX core by Molekula is MSX1. If you want to use the unreleased MSX2 core, follow this : https://vampier.net/MSX/ :D and yes indeed using the MSX1_20230702_test.rbf from the link provided together with CBIOS as rom from *.msx pack (which is also provided) it works without having to add fmpac or anythying, just slot princess p...

Re: MSX core by Molekula and Princess Paloma’s Rescue - no sound?
Thank you, that was it 👍 Now it works perfectly 💪🙂 Hi, would you mind elaborating on that just a little bit please ? I find almost all "neo-retro" (= post-2020 released) roms for most computers working even if i find most computers cores feel somewhat unfinished. For msx i have like 2 that dont and paloma here is one of them i followed a...

Re: Does Anyone Has a List of (What I Call Neo-Retro Games)?
Indie Retro News cover many new indie releases for old systems with a focus on old 8-bit and 16-bit computers. Most games will work on MiSTer. A notable exception is many new Atari 2600 games that need an ARM chip (see this post for a compatibility sheet). i knew that one but thanks, they're a bit broader than most too, otherwise retro gamer natio...

Does Anyone Has a List of (What I Call Neo-Retro Games)?

Re: SNAC Version of C64/C16/VIC-20
i seem to have an amiga sd card where i can use the 9pin joystick but indeed for a c64 it would be indispensible, since easyflash has gained a lot of traction with neo-retro devs (lots on itch) it wouldnt miss out either (the RGN of the year like briley for instance, otherwise you're probably better off with magicdesk which i can think can go up to...

Re: Want to get started with MiSTer for C64 and retro arcade, have some Qs
im just using a €15 old microsoft keyboard for all, i got a prefab mister that was sold as an A1200 kickstart included with all jingles and bells, most of it arent used by 90% or more of the cores as i found out later and the card that came with it seems to have the 9pin joystick enabled for use on the A1200(minimig) but on the other card i install...

Re: Sega Arcade Cores
o ... virtua fighter 1,2,3, vCop and house of the dead id have to second that, the mentioned games dont really look like the arcade on a Saturn (dont know how they play, haven't tried saturn32 except to check if it boots (and it did vfighter for a bit back then) and N64 yet, these things take time and i have at least 86000 games before sorting so i...

Re: The “Cycle Accurate” Conundrum and Is There a List of Cores That Are?
I also thought up the silly notion that what i have here is a thing that allows me to get into electronics and breadboarding without the need to spend my meagre funds on components, expensive soldering kits and leftover throwaway garbage, 6502 and other chips and can just try to create virtual ghosts inthere (once i wrap my head around it a little...

The “Cycle Accurate” Conundrum and Is There a List of Cores That Are?
Hi, (the eventual question is : "is there a list of cores, both console and computers, that are deemed "cycle-accurate" and what exactly is meant by that denomination in this case) i cant say im the greatest expert on FPGA and its programming languages but i actually got one b/c it had an amiga and atari st/ste in it, promising in th...

Re: Atari Jaguar Core
I assume the point here is to actually have it on the mister its been less than a week since i owned me one and im still jawdropping on how much of the universe fits into something the size of an icecream waffle that eats 10 watts. most of it is new to me and i was actually interested b/c it does amiga and st , but found out by now just how much it...
