Re: New Analog I/O Board v8.1 In the Works
Also, if there was a way to allow for a dual-RAM setup plus have analog output, that would be amazing, but I don't think it is possible. It is possible, you'll either have to use an external DAC or an add-on board that takes had one such DAC built-in, like RetroCastle's new board. The only issue with this is if you need simultaneous HDMI and VGA o...

Re: N64 Adaptoid Incorrect Stick Axis
I tested the Adaptoid with the N64 core, the analog stick is out of range  This was fixed recently. Most controllers use either a signed 8 bit range or higher, but Nintendo likes to do their own thing. The current core is mapping the analog input to match Nintendo's expected range more closely, so there shouldn't be any more weird sensitivi...

Re: 8bitdo Modkit for Original N64 Controller
New issue, not sure if anyone noticed, I was running low on power and by mistake I plugged the controller to a cable connected to my laptop instead of a charger, the laptop instantly froze with a kernel panic, looks like a division by zero bug in nintendo_hid_event. On the MiSTer it didn't crash, but the system became somewhat unresponsive and thre...

Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
Hi folks, I've noted a few good changes: Analog forward/back left/right are +/- 85 now Analog diagonals are +/- 69 now Using the 8bitdo modkit for the N64 controller on Switch mode, the C buttons are recognized as buttons, not as a second analog stick on the same controller on Switch mode, there's no more SOCD filtering on the C buttons (didn't tes...

Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
I'm currently using a 8bitdo modkit for the N64 controller, works great using bluetooth, but has weird issues when using wired USB. Both this and the DS4 I usually use for casual gaming have weird issues with analog sensitivity, range is -127 to +127 (normal for USB/Bluetooth) instead of the usual +/- 80 to 85 I'd expect from original N64 controlle...

Re: N64 Core
I've read some people mapping a right stick on C button (when defining the buttons on Mister main menu), could do the trick? But you may want to try an X-Input mode, which would be more compatible for the rumble feature 😉 That's how I setup a DS4 controller to use in the N64 core before I was able to use my 8bitdo modkit on a N64 controller. It's ...

Re: 8bitdo Modkit for Original N64 Controller
Following a tip on Discord I tried using it via Bluetooth and every button worked this way, although rumble didn't work when I tried it, while it was working on a DS4 on F-Zero with the september 25 core. But there's a catch: there's SOCD filtering, I'm not sure if any games rely on having opposite direction C buttons be pressed simultaneously, but...

8bitdo Modkit for Original N64 Controller
Anyone tried to use the 8bitdo modkit for the original N64 controller with the MiSTer? I just got mine, but early tests were quite confusing. It sort of worked both over bluetooth and over USB, but I can't assign every button of the original controller inside the N64 core or the MiSTer main menu. I connected it to my computer and tested with jstest...
