Re: tty2oled Soft&Hardware Add-On (Shows Core based Pictures on a Display)

Would there be any way of implementing this project to send high scores to nixie tubes? Thats of course if you could power the nixie tubes aswell as the mister. Would be great to have Mister with nixie tubes sticking out of the top displaying on the fly info on your score and what the high score is. If not nixie tubes could you possibly display hig...

I have several 8580 and they all sound different. When you play Mister demo vs 8580 on a real SID its totally different. To my ears. Maybe I am out of tune? Roughly the same is not the same but i get you.

Re: C64 MiSTer RGB vs C64 Reloaded MKII S-Video

I have been impressed with the C64 core output using RGB scart via the Ironclad ITX. Its the cleanest analogue image ive seen The 8580 SID is basically spot on in the core BUT i recommend grabbing the test build with the switchable digifix as the auto system in the main core causes extra noise with 8580 design samples and music that contain sample...

Re: Would Like to See Supersprint Core

Did Turbo Sprint live up to the hype? ;) Yes indeed. It is an awesome port. The only thing it is let down on is the sound effects and music. I say that lightly though. I played it for hrs last night. I was so glad you pointed me in the right direction. The other game I love from the Amiga core is IK+ . The intro, the music, the gameplay is perfect...

Re: Would Like to See Supersprint Core

It is better than the Amiga version. ( sry ) You show Super Sprint, the capable-but-not-quite-the-arcade Atari ST port to Amiga. Try Turbo Sprint on AmigaVision/MiSTer instead to get something closer to the arcade 😄 (Of course, the GameCube had better have a perfect port, being of a much, much later generation) Yes i suppose its like comparing app...

I am very interested in the old vectrex screens. You cannot play vectrex on a crt. They did a good job on porting some vectrex games to the c64. You should check them out. Fortrez of narzod is one of my favorites. If there is one thing you should do in you life it is play this game on a c64 or on a mister on a crt. Promise me that. https://csdb.dk/...

Re: Building a new MiSTer would like to know what's a good monitor and audio device

In my life i have tried pvm bvm jvc panasonic crt and then i tried plasma lcd oled and i can honestly say. Crt is the best. Which CRT is down to complete luck now. If you can find an old crt in a warehouse that has never been used rip the guys hand off. I found 2 last year. Another thing i have noticed is if you can find a plasma screen with low us...

Hi, Has anybody tried running The Goonies on Atari800 core? I've two images (atx and atr) but none works.. Atx loads garbled screen, atr asks for Game A (it's cracked version apparently), loads for a while and freezes... Any ideas? I have just tried it and it works but i am now angry cos they dont play the original music.https://www.youtube.com/wa...

Re: Would Like to See Supersprint Core

I have something to report on this game hehe. Just been playing the Gamecube version. Its on a disc called Midway Arcade Treasures 2. I am sry to say it is the best version next to the Arcade version. Its called Championship sprint and it is just awesome. It is silky smooth and has pretty much the exact sound effects and theme tune. I hooked it up ...

C64 MiSTer RGB vs C64 Reloaded MKII S-Video

Just messing around on a friday night in the north of England. I have owned a C64 Reloaded for a few years now. Thought i would put it to the test against the Mister. https://icomp.de/shop-icomp/en/shop/product/c64-reloaded-mk2.html I used the exact same monitor side by side. JVC production CRT. Reloaded is alot darker a little less crisp an image ...

I had one that died. I got a multisystem board instead because they have overvoltage protection. At least your IO board failed and not your DE10-nano. Who's Jim? :)

Re: Would Like to See Supersprint Core

Hi guys just tried it. Its on the image i already had. Its pretty much a clone of the arcade. Really impressed. Always loved that game in the arcade. Gonna be playing it tonight. I might do a side by side with other versions to see which one is best but Amiga is always up there. That Amiga Vision is the boss.
Thanks for your input.

Re: Would Like to See Supersprint Core

Amiga (via AmigaVision, I’m biased etc) has a port that is pretty much arcade-perfect. Look for “Turbo Sprint” for trademark reasons. Not sure if it supports wheels, though. On the arcade front, Super Sprint runs on the Atari System 2 (medium resolution) board, Atari System 1 games are already running on MiSTer, so given a bit of development, it s...

Would Like to See Supersprint Core

1_822580a555682f032758bc528e4e6f43.jpg I would really like to see this core on the Mister. Is there any progress on this or is it a no go? I want to find a way of playing it on my CRT. Options so far. Emulate and use Mistercast. (not tried yet) Use original Gamecube hardware and play the ported version. ( Downloading rom will try later) Atari ST v...

Re: Want to get started with MiSTer for C64 and retro arcade, have some Qs

Get yourself a CRT preferably a production CRT and hook it up with scart or RGB BNC cables and you will have the best looking C64 image you can possibly get. I still prefer the original SID sound but the things you can do with this core are outstanding. I mostly just run demos though hooked up to my CRT and a 40 inch plasma at the same time. Would ...

It’s really simple, went the DIY for my build. Buy a PN532 module with header and cables, also buy a CP2102 USB to TTL module. Connect them together (I had to switch the pins RX and TX when wiring) and it will be detected by TapTo Do you have links where to buy plz? When you say simple I am leaning towards this build.
