create a link?

in the 0mhz_downloader.sh there is an option to change installation directory. I don't know if you can move an installation or if you have to "install" it to a different path.

Glad to see the core is public! I tried it (and The Simpsons) out but I'm not hearing any audio. Any ideas?

I just tried all US versions of TMNT and had audio
Simpsons (W, 2P, Set 3) worked fine. I had to go into the service menu and enable sound in attract mode.

I can confirm that it freezes for me as well using your savestate.

I shoot and the boss model immediately freezes while the player model stops responding but still appears to show movement breathing.

I don’t think anyone is going to link directly to BIOS files. I could be wrong.

If you search the archive you’ll find them.

It takes a little longer than 60 seconds but it works for me.

I had to run the script and let it auto configure. Not sure if that helps you.

Re: MiSTer Favorites - Menu Shortcuts for Your Cores and Games

Sorry for the big edit if you saw beforehand...

In this picture _@Favorites should be at the top level.

If you want the folders inside of _@Favorites to be a the top level then move them out of _@Favorites.

Specifically to /media/fat/_@Currently Playing

Re: Neo Geo Not Working With Favorites/Gameslist Scripts

I am guessing your NeoGeo roms are in zip format and if you unzip them they are something crom0, fpga, m1rom...?

I was using the zipped roms and the games wouldn't show in my menu but since I switched to .neo files all the games show.

misterrocks wrote: Mon May 13, 2024 3:12 pm

The Favorites and Gameslist scripts work great here except with Neo Geo. They don't seem to pick up those games and instead act like the folder is empty. Any way to fix that?

The scripts you referenced here.

Ah, I didn't know, thanks! And - by the way - what about the symlinked .mras created by the Arcadade Organizer script? In that case no symlink for "cores" dir is present, but they work indeed..

_Arcade contains the cores directory so it and its subs are covered.

I guess I’m not going to run update_all today…

This seems to happen when cores are updated? Every time it’s happened to me it seems to fix itself over the next couple hours to days. But I’m afraid to run the script now until I know what’s going on.

Re: How to create symlink to arcade cores? Official guide doesn't work

Nested folders work but it's not really intuitive
the cores directory needs to be referenced in the first sub of media for some reason.

Code: Select all

mkdir -p /media/fat/_test/_test2
cd /media/fat/_test
ln -s /media/fat/_Arcade/cores
cd _test2
ln -s /media/fat/_Arcade/target.mra

I just tested all 3 (assuming Dangun Feveron)

It saves the setting per play through but loses custom settings if I change cores or hard reboot.

If I do a soft reboot and load the same core the settings appear to be the same.

Re: How to create symlink to arcade cores? Official guide doesn't work

Have you tried hard rebooting? Sometimes that fixes random issues for me. I have an MRA file and cores linked to /media/fat and can launch them no problem. I just did; mkdir /media/fat/_test cd /media/fat/_test ln -s /media/fat/_Arcade/Poly\ Play.mra and it kicks back to menu then I added (from /media/fat/_test/) ln -s /media/fat/_Arcade/cores and ...

It actually works (without the need to manually replacing files), but the button mappings are messed up. Pause button is now for the credits. And credits button starts the game. With this in mind you can start the game. Needs an official MRA update i guess. I just came to say this same thing. I tested it as working with the caveat that PAUSE is CO...

Hi, reviving an old thread. Is there any way to rename an existing folder? Or delete one? Thanks. I believe you can ftp into the MiSTer and create folders that way. If you want them to show up in the menu they need to start with an underscore Are you familiar with the command line? I use ssh mkdir /media/fat/_target mkdir relative/path/_target mkd...
