Re: MiSTer Nuked-MD MegaDrive Core

I’ve yet to see a build of this core with proper adaptive composite blend like the Genesis core has.

Re: MiSTer Nuked-MD MegaDrive Core

I’ve been out of town for several days. Did adaptive composite blend get added? Yes. Full blend is absent. "On" is adaptive. Finally got back home and tested it with the 9/15 core. Adaptive composite blend is most certainly not present in the Nuked-MD core. The whole point of adaptive is the screen remains nice and sharp except for those...

I was just about to ask if the Nuked-MD core will now replace the Genesis core, is there any point in the Genesis core being available?

Hopefully not. Nuked-MD is missing some features that the Genesis core has such as Adaptive Composite Blend.

Does it work on MiSTer wirelessly via both Bluetooth and 2.4ghz or just 2.4ghz (with the dongle)?

I've just tried it and it works perfectly via Bluetooth as well.

Great news! Thanks for checking.

Re: New 8bitdo Official NeoGeo Controller

A shop here was unexpectedly selling them already and even though I already had one on its way from China, which was taking a lot of time to arrive, I couldn't resist. It arrived today. 8BitDo Neo Geo.png Here are my first impressions (can't compare to the original controller as I don't have one): The clicky thumb-stick is great, it has a good ind...

Sound isn't working correctly in Double Dragon. Background music plays during fights, but sound effects do not. Just a click sound instead of each sound effect.

You need to use the latest unstable. It has fixes for that.

Re: Neo Geo CD Core

On a related note, SSRPG doesn't seem to load at any speed above 2x. Given that, would it be possible to A) have a per-game config which sets this one game to 2x or B) for the core to have a hard code limit of 2x? That way we can leave the main setting on 4x but SSRPG would load at 2x. Just a thought :)

Thanks Paul. I posted a request on Twitter for the author to respond to this thread with those details. If I'm not mistaken he is also the developer of the upcoming English translation, although he verified the issue using an untouched original ISO.

i've never played it before but i can faintly recall people were quite enthousiastic about Samurai Spirits (Shodown) RPG. though it was only released in Japanese, i think there should be a translation out there as well these days, if you're into RPG's that is. As far as I can tell from googling there isn't a working translation of this quite yet. ...

The whole secrecy thing is annoying. He said it’s in case the core isn’t doable but he announced PSX knowing it may not be doable. Makes no sense.

I honestly hope it isn't Virtual Boy. I have a consolized VB and it just isn't the same. These games were designed to be played in 3D. Playing them in 2D on a TV is not very fun imo.

Re: PS5 Dualsense controller: Which USB receiver to use?

Ok thank you. I saw similar behavior with DualShock 4 on Bluetooth so I switched to the official DS4 USB adapter. Latency is probably higher but the touchpad button is recognized. Specifically the PSX core allows you to toggle analog / digital controller mode which I find convenient.

Greyrogue has fixed the error with Blue's Journey, so many thanks to him/her! As for balancing inaccuracy, yes, some games feel like certain instruments are in the background & drowned out, compared to how I remember them or heard on real hardware. Well, that'll take a bit more listening to by all of us. Is there a core update with this fix av...

Can’t speak for him, but my TV (Samsung Q80R) doesn’t play nice with any signal that is not exactly 60.0hz. Manifests as excessive frame skip or distracting screen tearing near the bottom of the screen.

Re: What Do Some of Those PSX Core Options Do?

Fixed HBlank/VBlank: Games can change the position/size of the image which will cause sync loss with the scaler & vsync_adjust=2. Enable these with HDMI to fix that. Positioning and shake effects will also work better. Sync 480i for HDMI: This will keep the line count/refresh rate the same in 480i and 240p to prevent sync loss. If you enable t...

Re: Sega 32X Core

Insufficient SRAM shouldn’t be a showstopper. They could just make it so if you want to run 32X CD games you need dual sticks. Even if the games aren’t that good, for completion sake I’d like to see CD support added.
