Re: Rolling Picture on Commodore 1084S-P1

To get my 1084s working with scart rgb through vga port i had to do the mod described at post #24 here: https://nfggames.com/forum2/index.php?topic=3387.0

using a switch doing the mod the monitor works on both Amiga and rgb scart Consoles/mister.

Re: Neo Geo CD Copy Protection Removal?

No, that's why i advised you to use different brands of sd cards with different sizes also.

if you use the micro sd neo sdloader keeping the cd drive maybe you should check also your soldering job on x y z and the cdda cable connection. I use the normal SD slot with no cd drive....

Re: Neo Geo CD Copy Protection Removal?

I use Neo sd loader and as of now latest firmware 0.8b has a known bug: CDDA tracks sometimes start playing a bit too late. Maybe that is why you have a delay on playing tracks. Another thing is the brand of SD card. Try different brands, sizes and quallity of sd cards because sd loader was known to be a little finicky with sd cards especially duri...

Re: Unable to get VGA monitor working through HDMI

video_mode=5 why?

try:
video_mode=6
vscale_mode=1
fb_terminal=1

also it should work with vsync_adjust=2

i reported on github some sync issues with hdmi to vga with the 3 latest main releases too but i was able to fix my sync issues with composite_sync=0

Re: Original controllers - SNAC vs. USB?

I think SNAC8 is used only when two gamepads are connected and when only one is used then snac7 is enough. When using snes adapter on db9 for example you just enable serial snac from the snes core menu...

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers

Thanks for the replies ! Is there any drawback in using a jack-to-toslink cable instead of directly having 2 toslink ports bound together ? Anyway, waiting for the case to be available again... As for the audio DAC, is it good, compared to the other IO Board or the DAC of a mainstream HDMI monitor ? Thanks ;) I dont think so, it is just a passive ...

Re: TP-Link TL-WN725N V1 Driver

I decided to give compiling the driver myself a go and turns out it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Wireless is working great now! Would it be helpful to share the compile .ko file? Edit: Scratch that, I updated via the update script and the .ko file is now missing from /lib/modules/4.19.0-socfpga-r1/ I copied it back and did the rest of ...

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers

The fan is not very loud and also there is an analogue dial withthat you can choose between off,slow or faster speed. I don't think a noctua fan will fit inside the case. It depends on the use (with cps1 core de10nano gets hot) and environment temp. 2 screws are holding the fan on top of a heatsink. i think there is room for the rtc addon but i don...

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers

The opening is for compatibility with vertical ram board. I have a horizontal ram board with no opening like the above. You can get toslink output from the stereo/optical green jack using a cheap adapter or a cable that is male toslink from one side and 3.5mm optical jack from the other. i use an adapter like this: F8300070-01.jpg Black 3.5mm jack ...

Re: Final Fantasy III - 128MB SDRAM Issue

I have two 128MB SDRAM boards. One of them gives me garbled graphics always at the same place in FF3 (@2:03): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UKeg4RS0Hk This same module passes memtest at 140Mhz on two DE-10 Nano boards. It also gives me the same glitch in other DE-10 Nano board as well. I would send Sorgelig this RAM module, but I've lent it to ...
