Re: PC98 Core

Hi!

I am strating with this core and while D88 games work fine, I have found this collection of english games in HDI format:
http://www.pc98.org/main.html

,,,and the core seems to use HDF instead of HDI.
Do you know how to convert HDI to HDF?

Re: MSU-1

Only for this, I think the MSU-1 should make it's way into the SNES core: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvIXUOr4yxU Is there anything different between this and the MegaCD release of the same game? The only thing that can be different in this kind of game: HUGE difference in video quality. I love...

Re: Graphic glitch on Shadow Dancer

What CPU speed are you using? Use original speed and see if that still happens.
Take in mind that the A1200 uses a 14Mhz CPU, and not all games are patched in WHDLoad to run in a faster processor.

Re: AO486 compatibility list

I tried the ExoDos version and it seemed to run fine (only played for a minute or so). Setup of this version is straight forward, just copy the MagCarp folder to your VHD and run carpet.exe. ExoDOS only seems to offer Magic Carpet PLUS and Magic Carpet 2, right? Which one did you try? Magic Carpet ...

Re: AO486 compatibility list

Does "Magic Carpet" really work in-game? I can see the nice intro, the menu, but when I click on the spinning planet sphere to start actual gameplay, the game stalls forever in the loading screen (showing the CD), never getting in game. There are even youtube videos of this game running on ao486, b...

Re: Option for VGA games with broken scroll and sound?

@Newsdee

My guess also it that VGA has something missing (which I believe is much more interesting than throwing Windows 98 stuff at the core).
SuperFrog also has strange dots in the background.

Re: Option for VGA games with broken scroll and sound?

Hello, SuperFrog has a sound configuration problem I think (irq), but it is not configurable with the version I have. On the other hand Jazz Jck Rabit works very well, but you need a suitable memory configuration in any case for my version: Himem without EMM386 I have not tested the third game, I w...

Option for VGA games with broken scroll and sound?

Hi there From the first versions to the latest betas, I have always seen that games like Jazz Jackrabbit, SuperFrog or Prehistorik Man 2 have graphics and audio problems. Seeing how this core has progressed lately, and having tried a lot of combinations of CPU speed, refresh rate, etc... I was donde...

@brNX, @paulnb: Thanks for this! It shows how accurate this public Gameboy now is :D There's still some strange cracking sound in Super Hunchback when you press start on the tittle screen, before the game starts, like "tac tac tac tac tac tac tac!", can you see/hear it? Also happens after the bonus ...

@Sorgelig: There are updated souces for this FANTASTIC core by Mark Watson (foft) here: http://www.64kib.com/atarixlfpga_svn/trunk/atari_800xl/mist/ These are for MiST, but since our MiSTer core is directly based on the MiST one, these updates should be easily imported, right? Atari ST core does not work with up to date MiSTer executable [Solved]

HI there,

Since I updated the MiSTer executable and menu, the AtariST core won't boot: it seems to be in a loop trying to change video mode, but boot and desktop is never shown.

Is this known / expected?

EDIT: Made it to work by deleting core config files. Sorry!

Re: Any chance for composite blend like in Genesis?

Master System needs the same blending as the Genesis core, I totally agree. The TOTAL, un-selective blending that the Genesis core does is just INCREDIBLE, perfect, absolutely delicious. Games just look as intended, at long last. It has been what, decades? since I saw a Genesis game properly display...

@sorgelig: Thanks for taking the time to answer to this. It was my fault: Main MiSTer executable wasn't updated, and new options in the core menu weren't being shown. [SOLVED] Audio sync problems with CD-ROM games

Hello there! I was testing some PCE CD games today, using latest core version and japanese Super CD-ROM BIOS 3.0 for compatibility, as stated on the README. Thing is, many of them seem to have CD AUDIO synchronization issues: -In R-Type Complete CD, intro voices are desynchronized with lip movement....
