Re: PC98 core
Hello Mr Puu, I have found where the problem comes from. It's the version of the main Mister that's causing the problem with your Core. With the latest version it doesn't work. If I go back to a previous version, it's okay @tontonkaloun, Well done, thanks for sharing your findings! Could you just p...

Thanks for sharing this python script, it worked like a charm and I have managed to extract the .rbf from within the folder!pgimeno wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 6:58 pm If you don't have Quartus, you can use this to extract qar files: https://github.com/makigumo/unqar/blob/master/unqar.py (you need Python).

Re: PC98 core
Is the menu displayed when you press F12? If the menu is displayed, the core itself should be running. Since Zet is equivalent to 8086 / V30 / 80186, the BIOS of the model at that time is required. As for the era, if it is not the BIOS of the era of PC-9801VM and PC-98DO, the instructions related t...

Re: Acorn Archimedes core
@kathleen, I am afraid it is time for me to give up! I have tried the procedure several times now but to no avail. I have also tried with another MiSTer FPGA setup which I have got inside my arcade cabinet, just in case it was something related to some screen/monitor compatibility issues and again n...

Re: Acorn Archimedes core
@Alkadian, I've just uploaded the file cros4.adf in my Mega, could you please mount it as 1st floppy disk and retry. This is what RISCOS is looking for. I'm surprise that you still have this message after having entered the commands that I listed. Hi kathleen, Thanks again for the new file! It actu...

configure idefsdircache 32k with
configure systemsize 32k
and bingo!! It booted this time! But I am stuck with a new error message when OS 4.2 starts which is 'Please insert disc CROS4'.
I am getting there though

Hi Alkadian, Yes after resetting the core the HDF is still mounted and I have saved the settings just to make sure as you suggested. No I haven't got any error messages after entering manually the commands. Thanks! Hi Alkadian, This is weird, I'm still at work, when I'll have finished (in around 2 ...

Re: Confusion over bootcore / Lastcore etc
Thank you for the guidance. I have changed my Mister.ini file to the following and it works 100% as expected. Spaces in the name are no problem and I did not have to change the location of the mra file for it to work.: ; lastcore - Autoboot the last loaded core (corename autosaved in CONFIG/lastcor...

Re: Acorn Archimedes core
Hi Alkadian, After having done the reset, have you checked that your HDF was still mounted ? Between the HDF mount and the Reset Ctrl+Alt+AltGr action, try to save the configuration (so, before the reset) to be sure. Unless you're sure that your HDF was still mounted. When you entered the manually ...

Maybe this is old news to most of you, but I just stumbled over this project: https://github.com/VitorVilela7/SA1-Root/releases Vitor Vilela patched the code of several SNES Roms that were plagued by slowdowns so that they make use of the SA-1 chip that was in fact a second CPU that ran much faster...

Re: Confusion over bootcore / Lastcore etc
Please refer to the notes below which I put together some time ago: 1. Open the mister.ini file in the main SD folder. 2. Look for the line ;bootcore=lastcore. 3. Uncomment it and replace ‘lastcore’ with the .mra file corresponding to the rom you want to start with. For istance if you want to start ...

It's simply not working for me, I don't know why. I just needed to have both keyboards plugged in at the same time to swap them. Thanks for t...

Re: How to config VHD for New Acorn Atom Core
I have just placed an updated core in releases. It now allows LOAD and SAVE as it should have done. I also created a boot.vhd in Windows 10 disk management, Create, Initialise and format FAT32. I placed all the AtomArchive folders and files on it and it worked. I also formatted an 8Gb SD card with ...
