Yes they are. PSX core fully implements the official framework. In fact, the framework had to be closely tailored during the development of the core, so the two would be perfectly compatible.
Mind you, as the BIOS screen (and many games) are 480i, you may not get what you're usually expecting from 'scanlines', so tweak your settings accordingly.

Pramod Somashekar is indeed working on the V2 hardware with a focus on the Raizing boards in particular (I believe he's working on Batrider last reported) Problem is, people have been so pushy on him that he had to lock his Twitter feed, and now it's pretty spotty to know where he's at. Sometimes he's communicating with Jotego, so you can follow h...

Certainly it is, but someone's got to do it. Right now it would seem that there's no motivation for people who know their way inside the kernel.Reed_Solomon wrote: ↑Fri May 13, 2022 2:44 am #1 is the ideal fix, both solutions could probably be implemented in due course without conflicting with each other.

What does not come indeed, is the specific _alternatives/_ASO folder, to which the Alpha Mission and Arian Mission mras have been relegated.
I guess we have to add them manually, until @theypsilon fixes the distribution repo.
There you go, fixed!

Hmm, I haven't taken mine apart yet, but I'm suspecting something like an Opti-PAC would be a better interim solution instead of an adapter.

Olá Ricardo!
Have you given a look at blue212's new PSX SNAC board?
Being utterly inept at assembling such a contraption on my own, I wish you could maybe take up producing these (for us in EU countries)

no. The script is set to seek from the 0240 dump currently.
Just wait for a day, and the merged romset which can be downloaded automagically, will be available
(in fact the already downloaded "aso.zip" is the one you want. Just the mras need to be edited to point to that)

Seek MAME 0.193 (split) romsets.
You'll want the alphamis and arian sets, before the mras get updated to the merged set which can be downloaded "automagically"

Great job in making automatic updates compatible with the downloader script! However, the correct entry inside downloader.ini should look like this:

I'm surprised the url by itself didn't work though. It seems to play just fine directly with mpg123 Hey, whaddayaknow! Tried again today to verify and indeed non-secure, bare urls do work! Re: A strange thing happened running update all script
@LamerDeluxe thanks. My post was just to make the announcement. Over the years the quality of "MiSTer Updates & Changelog" has been going down: as of today 99.99% of arcades updates are never announced, I hope the disease is not spreading to other cores. These are updates to Jotego cores, which are not a part of main as you well know...

I'd personally wish for a Psikyo SH2 core, what with Gunbird 2, Dragon Blaze, Strikers 1945 II and many more!
That said, you can already get a taste of Psikyo-style arcade goodness with Strikers 1945 Plus on the NeoGeo core.

What are some of the issues? I've been putting off subbing to his patreon for the betas since it seemed abandoned, but maybe it's worth while now? Mostly the fact that sprite scaling (zooming) has yet to be implemented. Also some issues here and there with tile alignment and popping sound. All except Guwange (which has severe timing issues), can d...

It is hard to describe but to describe it more precisely the spin of the trackball is not synchronous to what is happening on the screen. It is hard to stop and place centipede exactly which is a no go in the game sometimes it even moves in the wrong direction. When you control it with the joystick it moves smoothly and the way it should be but a ...

Re: Is it OK to power 5v 260mA fan from Arduino header?
Are you sure your 5V fan will ever draw as much? Maybe it's PWM enabled, rated @260mA because of its capability to turn at very high RPMs. However with the DE10, you won't ever see temps comparable to PC chipsets etc. The popular Noctua NF-A4x10 5V fan most sellers provide for use with the digital I/O board (i.e. Arduino header connected), only nee...
