Re: Space Invaders with Samples
Especially for Nigel Butterfield I have just done a pull request to add a "Space Invaders (Samples)" mra file that uses samples to implement the various sounds for it rather than the embedded code from the original SI core. hopefully sounds more like the real thing with these. Just to feed my curiosity, what is the benefit of doing this ?

2 Joystick encoders with different VID/PID and Player 2 "start" doesn't work.
Hello, Finally I have decided to put 2 differents encoders in my arcade cabinet in order to have 2 differents VID/PID but I can't make Player 2 enter the game. Each of the stick encoder has its own "start" button. In an arcade core like "wonderboy 3" or "silkworm" if player1 is playing (and there are some credits) play...

Hello,
I did a comparison of the new SID (from the Mister) with the C64 ones.
The SID from the Mister FPGA is really good.
What do you think ?

Re: Help with DOS and Midilink
bingo! taskset: failed to execute mt32d: No such file or directory I'm not sure what happened. Make sure you have mt32d in /sbin Now I remember, I had helped someone with this (or something similar) before and they had a mt32d.old in /sbin/ but no mt32d Good luck! What hapenned is that I though I needed to use the update script to install midilink...

Re: Help with DOS and Midilink
If I set Type to FSYNTH/SC55 & Reset UART then I get the music, but if I rollback to Munt, I still get no music. :o Did you install the CM-32L or MT-32 ROMS? there should be a soundfont_installer.sh you can run. they should reside in /media/fat/linux/mt32-rom-data to see why MUNT is failing you can start MidiLink manually via SSH: #uartmode 0 ...

Re: New distribution system for Jotego cores
So this is piracy, but you have to pay for it, but the money goes to the wrong person? This is so weird to me… No, he's creating a core through reverse engineering. The money goes to him to help develop these cores. He's the right person, if you want to support him. It's only weird because you are trying to be a smart-ass about it, but you shouldn...

The MiSTer core is extremely good, but definitely not perfect: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/NeoGeo_MiSTer/issues Correct me but most of those issues (if they are real) are < Feb 2020 :-) You're not wrong...but they are definitely real. That should give you some idea of how much love the core doesn't get. The core get enough love from people for...

Re: The Result of My Search for a Great MiSTer Display
Two things: 1. Does it support 50hz like Amiga and C64 natively? (No stuttering on scrolling) 2. With the exclusion of DoDonPachi nothing is 240p, but less. I find 1080p with cropping a better solution. 1. I'm not a C64 expert, but I booted up Turrican and took a test video with a dinky webcam. It scrolled quite smoothly to my eye, and the monitor...

Maybe a pokitto (www.pokitto.com) core ?
It's a real console and I think the CPU has already been done in whdl.
Would like to have this one consolized !
