Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core

So I grabbed the latest psx rbf file and the unstable psx script. Used the script to update main to the latest unstable. I know updating main worked because when I tried the script again it said I already have the very latest. When I boot to a game I get a blank screen. I red a post that had a similar problem and they cleaned up which resolved the ...

Re: When is Sega 16 being Released to the Poor Public?

😭 Crying can sometimes be helpful. Like that time Stone Cold Steve Austin cried because Kurt Angle kidnapped him. Now you made me cry, with all that bad acting OMG  What are you talking about? This is a very serious situation. A man's life is in danger someone should call the cops on Angle before he pretends to do something he'll regret! This...

Re: Fatal Fury 3's Endings Are Broken

Playing on my Analogue CMVS I've beaten the game multiple times with Terry and it never crashed. Is this an issue that happens under certain conditions i.e. beating the game with anyone but Terry? Beating it with continues perhaps? Edit: Upon reading the bug report they confirmed it's when you play the game in english however I only ever beat the g...

Re: X68000 Beta - Updates and Releases

Yes, if the game comes with 2 floppies, you pretty much always run it by putting floppy 1 in drive 1 and floppy 2 in drive 2. If the game comes with 3 or more floppies, it's harder to tell. It could be that it has two floppies for playing and a third floppy for saving progress. Or it might not run at all unless you install it to the harddrive. It ...

Re: X68000 Beta - Updates and Releases

What's you guys' opinion on a dual SDRAM solution for the X68000 Sharp Core? In theory could the extra 256 MB help with the sound? I was thinking about getting something like this if the Playstation/Saturn core needed it. Then I thought about other possibilities that can be used with this thing that includes PC cores like the AO486 and the Sharp. ...

Re: Jotego Confirms CPS3 / PGM / Mortal Kombat

I don't know about all the CPS3 hype... Me neither.... It offers objectively one of the greatest Street Fighter games ever made and JoJo is really hot right now. Not at all difficult to understand, this is a layup. Besides we never got a console port of Red Earth. Even if I grant you a game like that which requires a lot of resources and hoarse po...

Re: Jotego Confirms CPS3 / PGM / Mortal Kombat

I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for more RAM if it means FPGA Saturn/Playstation/CPS3. I have a modded Xbox with CPS3 emulator however Red Earth on some stages runs slow af. There's a CPU mod for the Xbox to get it to run better but seems like a hassle. Now I do have the FBA emu frontend on PC and my rig runs Red Earth perfectly. However, thi...

Re: X68000 Beta - Updates and Releases

You can explore the contents of those floppies either within Human68k or one of those Windows programs that can open X68000 floppies. If there's a file called INSTALL.X or similar, that's probably what you need to run. You may need to set up a harddrive image with Human68k first. Sorry for the late reply. Appreciate the tip! It sounds like quite a...

Re: X68000 Beta - Updates and Releases

https://youtu.be/0fggjHgRNUY Apparently sound does work on Final Fight. This is a video of someone running Final Fight on the Mister X68000 core. What's he doing to get both music and sound effects? Is he using the mt32-pi? If Final Fight gives sound fx I'll bet the farm both Street Fighter games do too. I want to know how? Also to address a correc...

Re: Set OSD background image for HDMI output

Greetings Plumps, Generally the background ini defaults to 1080p and even if you're using an ini that doesn't you can always set it in the ini txt file. If you wanna do it the fast way then make certain you're either using a wired connection or wireless ethernet. Download update_all script to the scripts folder, power on the Mister, navigate over t...

Re: X68000 Beta - Updates and Releases

I have a DIM to D88 converter in the page linked from my signature that works in MiSTer's Linux. It may not be too straightforward to run for those not used to a command line interface, though. Oh I got the D88 stuff converted and working. Ironically after I learned how to do it, I discovered Pez 82 already had a pre-configured set that he generou...

Re: X68000 Beta - Updates and Releases

What the video shows at 3:44 is a hard disk image with several games on it. If you use D88 images be patient, loading from flopp images is very slow (don't know how it was on a real X68000). Try Alien Syndrome, this game works and it loads relatively fast. Okay, I was super confused at first. I did use 2 D88 images one was Sailor Moon. I forgot I ...

Re: X68000 Beta - Updates and Releases

On floppy images I keep running into DIM files. I can't get the core to read those ideally I'd like to use files with the D88 extension but I can't seem to find them. That said what's the process for converting Ghostwares set? You can convert DIM files to D88 with the Virtual Floppy Image Converter. https://www.vector.co.jp/soft/win95/util/se15110...

Regardless, if the core doesn't currently support it I'm SOL (as far as the Mister goes) appreciate the info though. Sucks about the sound, was really looking forward to playing the X68000 versi...

Re: X68000 Beta - Updates and Releases

Lord, I spent the last few days doing down the x68000 rabbit hole... I can't believe I didn't realize how bad ass this thing was. How well does this core work? How complicated is the setup? I might start trying to get it operational on my mister if it's not too bad. You just dump the x68000.rom into your computer core folder, place all of your X68...
