Re: Forked cores with 4K horizontal resolution support

Pretty cool addition I'll give it a try with my Panasonic TV! Really curious to see how it looks. I remember doing something similar before we had 1536p support and it worked decently well on my 4/3 screen at the time. If it turns out well, shadow mask could look great with this!

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

I was curious so I tested the core with Antonio 4 cells SDram module and many games are now booting if you insist quite a bit, I already bought another SDram a while back but for people who didn't it's a good news! (Game tested are Daytonna, Biohazard, Alien Trilogy, Rayman). It's still far from perfect but last time I tested basically no game were...

Maybe your SDRAM is damaged, did you try to test it with the SDRAM test software in utilities?

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

I'm using BIN/CUE yes, and my games are stored on a NAS, using CIFS on the MiSTer to access them. My RAM has 2 cells (I think?) here's a photo: Any idea? Weird, I haven't hear that people with regular ram module were having issues. Maybe it's just a problem with your bios name like FPGA64 recommended be sure to do this: FPGA64: "Firstly make ...

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

I still can't launch any games on this core so far... I know it's still a nightly build, but I don't understand why I am not able to launch games that people can already play... I tested with serveral BIOS, followed many guides, the only game I can launch is Parodius with no music, and Burning Ranger but I'm stuck at file selection. I even tried t...

Re: TMNT Core is Gone?

This should not leave the update all before the new one has been fully released for at least a couple of months. If it's a name issue just call it something different like TMNT alternate or whatever, but otherwise this should just not be happening. It's not taking gigabytes of space either.
People worked hard an this core too.

Re: N64 Core

this one actually broke the rendering of everything at startup on my CRT. I'll see if it's a problem with my current bios with this core version.

Edit: Can confirm on my CRT setup this version is MIA, the entire boot is scribbled, you can't even go into the OSD or do anything. Yesterday's version is working fine though.

Re: Display Arcade Artwork?

Wizzo is working on something like this I believe, you can go ask in the "remote" thread.
Similarly, you can buy an nfc reader, buy nfc tags, and do your list of favs games that way in a physical form thanks to wizzo you can do that now
You can also use QR code for the cheaper/less cool way

Re: Release DE10 Nano Overclock Kernel BETA

Thanks! It's nice to have options like this, I'm all for this kind of tinkering :p I wonder if any of your discoveries could be applied to fix antonio's villena 128mb 4 cells memory incompatibility by allowing to tweak the SDRam timing or overclock it to go around its limitation. I have bought another one a months ago, but I don't like e-waste ^^.....

Re: Release DE10 Nano Overclock Kernel BETA

I forget if it sets it to 1200000 or doesn't do anything haha. No it isn't connected to anything. You can try 2000000 and it won't crash. Oh boy Ok so I looked into my og file I was using up until now and it was set to 1200000 while the name was 1.3ghz so that explain why I was having a significant performance boost still compare to stock XD Glad ...

Re: Release DE10 Nano Overclock Kernel BETA

Yeah it will probably apply without any error message. The list of valid frequencies is baked into the kernel driver. The frequency has to be a multiple of 200 for everything to be even. 1.4 GHz is far too high and you can't really do 1.3 GHz. For 1.3 GHz to work you have to set a bunch of other clocks to slightly weird values so I didn't bother. ...

Re: Release DE10 Nano Overclock Kernel BETA

1.3 GHz actually shouldn't work, are you using a custom kernel? Nope, I updated the kernel way back when you did the beta, but since then I just let the main update do its thing. Why it shouldn't work? Is it possible that it actually doesn't apply without any error message? It would be funny, me believing it's running while it's actually not XD Ye...

Based on the few games I tested, I don't think he is running the processor at a higher clock for now, the cache is just providing massive gain by itself already which means that when he will run it at max clock it's gonna be sweet!
