Re: NES Composite Output
You haven't answered the last email I sent you 2 weeks ago where I asked you to check the clock signal on the VSync pin with an oscilloscope. I have added an 14.31818Mhz clock to the PLL in the SNES core and sent it to the VSync pin. Why doesn't it work? It's not a good clock. You can check with an oscilloscope. You can try with a proper one for e...

Re: NES Composite Output
Moreover it has clock detection on VSYNC pin. If a clock is detected this clock override the PAL or NTSC crystals. If one day Mister Fpga cores would generate this clock on VSYNC pin the adapter would automatically work using that clock and avoiding the "moving dot crawls" behaviour so I wouldn't have the need of replace it with a new on...

Re: Another RGB to S-Video / Composite Adapter
I have tried many prototypes: AD724, AD725 and AD723. The best quality I found was with AD723. There is not difference in dot crawl between use 1x or 4x crystal. I use 4x crystal because it's more stable but I think it's because before I used passive ones. So I think you won't have stability problems. Also you can replace the passive crystal+invert...

Re: Thanks for all the work on the C64
I just ordered one (and am MT-32 adapter) from your site, but then I realized... What does that cable plug into on the MiSTer? It looks like I need another adapter to get to the DB9? Just cancelled the order. Please read the description: "Note: Only for DB9 MiSTer (SLIM, DRIVE and MINI). For official MiSTer please wait to other sellers. This ...

Re: i2c2oled (little brother of tty2oled)
I share this board design on Eagle. Also with gerbers available. The BOM is: -2x7 female 2.0mm header -1x4 female 2.54mm header -2 resistors 4K7 0603 It's like my RTC board but without the RTC components. 0603  Could you make it in 0805 ? It's more eyes friendly ;) Anyway, many many thanks Antonio :D I never use 0805 resistors. And 0805 can...

The official RTC board has no VCC pin. But you can extract from the connector by soldering a wire. The 4 wires you need are: VCC, GND, SDA and SCL

Re: Better support for SNAC?
The 1 player SNAC is official. That's the decapod will work with official cores. But for 2 player working or OSD manage need our fork. The schematics for the SNAC extension are available and can be added on the official IOmsimplay wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 6:34 am

Re: Making the MiSTer JAMMA Compatible
Thank you for this datasheet. It's very helpful. About my adapter there are 2 corrections: 1. Is my mistake. I use the other 12V line too but not appeared on the schematic. Now it's updated. 2. The 6p buttons for CHAMMA support are by default unconnected. The reason is because there is GND line there and this would cause continuous pulsation. Also ...

Re: Better support for SNAC?
There is an open source / open hardware extension for SNAC here: https://github.com/MiSTer-DB9 It's backwards compatible. That's official cores with SNAC support works with the adapters (only one player and without OSD control). Of course that means also gun support. There are improvements on NES (on US controllers) and PCE (full support 6 button g...

No. I bought one without 5V on pin 9 and did the mod. I recommend IO SIMPLE instead hdmi->vga. It costs only 30 EUR and has better DAC than official IO.Yodasghost wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 2:43 pm Hey Antonio could you reccomend an hdmi->vga adapter that has 5v input on pin 9 like you described?

Could it be used to display thongs like the current v-sync mode, output resolution, etc?.. I am not sure because the display needs at first an connection to the MiSTer System in some way and I don't know if this is something Sorgelig likes to add. It was generally just an idea to pimp my case a bit. Hi. I currently sell MiSTer with 128x64 oled dis...

Hello Antonio, I am really interested in your "Complete MiSTer DRIVE 128MB, 8GB uSD" product! What is the difference with the SLIM edition? Does the scart adapter in the package come with stereo sound? Could you explain how you wire the VGA port? 1. I know that you output sound with it (since your VGA to Scart has sound), and I would like to know on which pins that is. I would like to make sure that I can use a cable like this (https://www.extron.com/product/syvgamalefibncmaleca) to go to my PVM without any trouble (I do understand that this cab...

Re: antoniovillena.es
Im having problems with my nes adapter. I added the 2 3.6k resistors and same problem as without resistors. What am I doing wrong? I tried the scac and db9 settings too Are the other end of resistor tied to VCC (5V)? I don't appreciate in the picture. You have the schematic here: https://github.com/antoniovillena/MiSTer_DB9/blob/master/Hardware/db...
