Re: Twin Cobra PCB

Hi! As far as I know Jotego is already working on a "Twin Cobra'" core. I guess he has a working board for this too. But you can ask him yourself about this. Help is always welcome. Is Jotego actually already working on it, or is it in the pipeline? Because then it could still take years. Personally, I think if it is only planned for som...

Re: Old-school music production with MT-32pi and Cubase

I would assume you would want keyboard -> Atari MIDI in-> cubase -> atari MIDI OUT -> MT32pi but Im not familiar with the MT32pi so YMMV anywway: Here's what Im using. Atari MIDI IN, THRU, ATARI MIDI OUT x 3 PXL_20240304_224209558.jpg Yeah, that MIDI adapter is fantastic, I followed it's development. The thing is, the mt32-pi doesn't have MIDI con...

It deleted a duplicate entry that I had added manually to the basic settings, I didn't see the existing one in the next section and for some reason a text search didn't find it.

I haven't noticed exclude list files, only blacklist ones. I should be able to check that tomorrow.

Re: Analogue Pocket can now use AmigaVision images made for the MiSTer

It is incredible how easily we can play Amiga games and demos on the Pocket, thanks to AmigaVision, when its only other computer cores are PDP-1 (not sure if it even has more than one game) and VideoBrain. And you need a dock and keyboard to use the VideoBrain core properly.

Also interesting for events, where you don't want people messing around in the menus, while enabling them to select a game to play in a super easy way.

Where are the blacklisted games added? I'm looking at the blacklist files in Scripts\.MiSTer_SAM\SAM_Gamelists but I'm not seeing any updates. Wait, my MiSTer_SAM.ini file keeps getting reset to a version with that option removed, why is that? Oh yeah makes sense. I added a new ini option: # When pushing "next game" button on controller, do we want to ignore the game that is currently on. # Only works if controller has been configured in menu (or try default button "select") ignore_when_skip="yes" Thanks! That will be really handy to filter out games that d...

Added a M82 mode to SAM. Turn your MiSTer into an M82. Available through the menu (presets) or the ini (m82=yes) Added a Next button for SAM which let's you skip games with your gamepad. By default it's "select" on your gamepad. If it doesn't work, try Configure Gamepad in SAM's menu Please make sure to update with SAM's updater. The nex...

Or just launch the game you want to exclude and type /media/fat/Scripts/MiSTer_SAM_on.sh ignore in SSH. Sam will create the exclude list for you. That sounds like something that would be great to have in the MiSTer remote app. Or better still, a SAM configurable button on the controller. Wow! What a beauty.
Comparing with the same decade computers (C64, Spectrum, BBC....) it's a unbelievable design.

It really is, the design looks quite ahead of its time.

Let's hope it can be added to the official cores soon.

If you also want to be able to connect paddle controllers, I can highly recommend the Daptor PDL. However, the C64 and Amiga cores sadly currently only support the custom MiSTer adapter.

I also have no idea how to run this on the Spectrum core. Trying to run it on the ZXNext core just gives me a 'cannot load TBBLUE.FW' error. Adding that file to the games/ZXNext folder does nothing. Yeah, neGcon and Jogcon are working great here as well, fantastic to be able to use them with the PSX core. That is what happened all the time with my real Playstations, on every CRT I have, ruining my aim. I guess something odd is going on wi...

I know that the Gameboy Advance and Lynx cores have it (I requested three frame blending for the latter one and Robert kindly added it). I would expect it to be possible, unless it is somehow tricky for CRT display oriented systems. Found the commit, feature is called flickerblend there https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/AtariLynx_MiSTer/commit/5222a...

Really fun to read your first impressions, enjoy your MiSTer setup! The 8BitDo Neo Geo pads are great.
