Re: Individually Bootable VHDs for Each Game
That could work. The only drawback I could see is if you update your configuration... peripheral drivers or the core gets new hardware and needs configured, you'll have to do it for every single VHD

Re: Unmount Disk Drive?
Thanks guys. I thought I tried that but I guess I tried backspace *before* going into the menu thinking it would work. Not exactly intuitive.

Unmount Disk Drive?
In the ao4866 core menu I am unable to unmount a boot disk.
Changing the first bootable drive to hard drive only doesn't seem to have any effect.
Because of this I am stuck having to boot into a dos installation every reboot.
Am I missing something?
I suppose my only recourse is to delete my boot disk from the drive.

Re: CD-Rom support under DOS
Through an external CDROM drive?
I've got virtual drives working no problem.
You can have the images in the mistetfs shared folder and mount them with SHSUCDX.
Throw the commands before some launcher script and it's pretty seamless.
I think this is what most people are doing for now.

Re: VGA Output, Scalers, and CRTs
Turns out the green tint was due to the sync on green switch on the IO board. With that off, everything is great.
vga_scaler 0 is all I have set but in the core menu I do have the 4x option. Not sure if that's the cause of jittering or my monitor. I suspect the former.

Re: VGA Output, Scalers, and CRTs
640x400 also doesnt work, but this is great so far. I'm using all your settings. vga_scaler is 0. I too have the jittering though. Also strangely everything was tinted very green. Luckily I can compensate mostly with monitor settings for now. If I could get rid of the jittering I'd be totally satisfied for now. All things considered it is WAY bette...

Re: AdLib Emulation - Missing Percussion?
No worries. I put it up a few days ago. I'm thinking midi in general is not working correctly on the soundblaster pro.

Re: Help getting ao486 to run
It looks like you don't have a vhd hard drive mounted. After the Options line it should list your HDD. When you mount the primary hard drive I'm not sure it's stays mounted when you reset the core unless you save settings in the second menu. Either that or something is wrong with the vhd file you are using. Could also be a read/write issue with tho...

Re: Help getting ao486 to run
You have to approach it like a real computer. Generate a vhd in disk manager on windows. It cannot exceed 2GB per partition. This will simulate a blank hard drive. When you mount this drive and reboot DOS from the core you'll get the no boot device error you've gotten You need to install DOS on the empty hard drive. https://winworldpc.com/download/...

Re: AdLib Emulation - Missing Percussion?
I noticed the same thing in Super Solvers: Treasure Cove which I assume uses adlib. Missing percussion rather off-putting. I suspect it's a white noise channel that's missing since there was no white noise when the whale blows his blowhole either.  Noise would be used for the percussion instruments you mentioned. Maybe I'm crazy but I sw...

Re: VGA Output, Scalers, and CRTs
Hey there I'm new here but find this topic to be of high importance to me. All I/O interfaces should be as true to original hardware as possible. If I'm understanding this thread correctly there is no way to get the resolutions to display correctly without integer scaling in the VGA output? So everything output must be scaled to the native resoluti...
