I own a real prof pac-man arcade cab. The pcb died and a buddy of mine put mame in it and now it works. He even got all the flashing lights to work just like the real game.

Do you still have that pcb?

Yea

Re: Jotego Fixing Old Cores

I agree 100%. Most of them just need audio/sound fixes. Donkey Kong core is a mess regarding this. Its sad see that the Golden Age cores get no attention. It seems most people care about is how far they can push the de10's capabilities like the PS1, saturn, CPS3, etc. Thats great and all, but I feel a lot of the Golden age core are so close to bei...

Re: Jotego Fixing Old Cores

Many of the Golden Age arcade games could use work, if not redoing entirely. I've long been hoping that Jotego would fix/redo Donkey Kong and other Nintendo arcade games (he did Popeye , after all). For anyone thinking of buying an active adapter, I recommend waiting for the Ultimate Mister release as they're working directly with Mike and will be tested properly.

Looks like Christmas came early......

I have it set to ntsc. Should have mentioned that too. I also tested composite and that is working fine. Only s-video is a problem.

Have you tried using a different s-video cable? Or test it on another TV that has S-video input?

Re: S-Video and Composite Over Component Output! (Custom Cores)

I just bought Antonio's new MikeS board but can't get it to work. I have composite_sync=1 in my ini file, the sync on green switch is off, and I already had the 5v jumper on to power Antonio's previous s-video transcoder. I'm using a Sony Trinitron with s-video and changed the video setting in Mike's cores to s-vid. I just get a black and white im...

You have open update_all.sh, not downloader.ini. downloader.ini is in the root mister folder, not in the scripts folder, so you need to go up one directory.
Oh I see. I miss read the OP. Will try it out later

Hi All, Thanks to the amazing work from @theypsilon (https://www.patreon.com/theypsilon), I was able to quickly make a downloader for the YC cores that can be added to update all. https://github.com/MikeS11/YC_Builds-MiSTer The folder structure is YCArcade, YCConsole, YCComputer. You just have to add this to your downloader.ini file (NOTE: YC core...

I'm not an expert on pacman, never really liked the game ;) however, the ghost AI is based on targeting particular locations on screen, for some ghosts (in chase mode - see later) it is the square that pacman is on, for others it is a square relative to pacmans position. the ghosts switch between 3 modes, chase, scatter and frightened (blue!) and ...

Re: Any reason(s) to use s-video/composite over component, if you have the option?

In my opinion, smaller CRTs are good enough for composite and S-Video. Anything past a 26in CRT, you should really be using component if you want a sharp vibrant picture Don't get me wrong, I love S-Video on my 13" commodore 1702 monitor and my 20" sony trinitron looks amazing! When you start getting up to the 26"+ CRTs, you really s...
