Re: Ethernet With Crossover Cable Directly to PC - How to Config? [Solved]

There is no problem accessing this file but you have to do it under Linux. SSH into MISTer and vi /etc/dhcpcd/conf or whatever editor you want to use.
It is what I did to set my MISTer in fixed IP.

Re: Modify MiSTer Main to bring broken DE10 back to life

No problem. It was just driving me crazy as I did not make the connection so to speak. May be I am a little too technical and did not read between the lines: if someone says GPIO17 there must be a document somewhere mentioning it and I will be looking for this document forever. That said these pins can be troublesome when you start FPGA. When I fir...

Re: Modify MiSTer Main to bring broken DE10 back to life

As no one seems to understand what I am talking about I re-read @arago first post and here are the mentions of these pins in his own post. DE10 Nano has shorted GPIO17 (Reset), confirmed via multimeter the DE10 Nano had a short between GPIO Pin 13 all 36 GPIO1 pins (D0-D35) the GPIO1 Pin 17 (RESET) is shorted these are ignoring GPIO17 Where is the ...

Re: Modify MiSTer Main to bring broken DE10 back to life

I already understood this from the start. This is not my question. The exact terms GPIO13, GPIO15 and GPIO17 have been mentioned (forget about the other denominations). Here is what @arago mentioned in the first post: " Where is the code that references GPIO17 and reads it. If there are more than one place, which one is critical for booting up...

Re: Modify MiSTer Main to bring broken DE10 back to life

Thanks for the answer. I understood what you said in your first explanation. May be I did not make my question clear enough: "Where are these mentions of GPIO13, 15 and 17?" The question is about these exact terms: GPIO13, GPIO15 and GPIO17. Where do they appear? Clearly this information appears somewhere but this is wrong and should be r...

Re: Modify MiSTer Main to bring broken DE10 back to life

This is really detective work and I am glad you figured it out. Recompiling the cores is a pain but at lest you have a temporary solution. Modifying MISTer main would be the ideal solution and I hope you figure it out. I have a question: Where are these mentions of GPIO13, 15 and 17? This is plainly wrong. They should be referred as J7 Pins 13, 15 ...

Re: The Screen Blurs Using CPS2 After Playing NeoGeo Core

A long long time ago this issue was extremely frequent until Sorge made some changes and the issue almost disappeared. I guess each core would have be modified to do a cleanup.

Re: The Screen Blurs Using CPS2 After Playing NeoGeo Core

Screen messed up when changing core is a rare occurrence. I always switch cores in the OSD and it has been a long time since I got a messed up screen. If it happens I do a reboot.

Re: Battletoads

Thanks to @Captain FPGA it is now possible to start the game without having to manually load the 3 bin files. He did his setup using the _Arcade directory, if you want to do the same look at one of his posts above. On the other hand if you did the installation as described in https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?p=71693#p71693 where you have the rb...

Re: Battletoads

@Captain FPGA Thanks for the files. I was surprised when you said the files loaded automatically. To do so a mra would be necessary but now I see that your mgl acts as some sort of mra. One thing I do not understand yet is the location of your Battletoads directory. I will try when I am back home. I won't use the Arcade directory as you did but the...

Did you place the Battletoads directory in games or games/mame?

I just tried the main mra and you are correct this game is darn difficult. 2 steps and I am out.
I will have to check the DIP settings to see if I can reduce the number of ninjas. 1 or 2 would be more than enough for me.

All of this is very confusing. First the core is unofficial, shouldn't the mras go into _Unofficial? @ MostroW I do not understand why it is not working for you. May be you should delete the rbf, the mras including alternatives and the 2 zips. After that run the update script, replace the mra with mine and see what it gives. On Github and for the i...
