DaemonBite Arcade Encoder

Hi there, I couldn't find an answer to this anywhere so I figured I'd ask here. If I create 2 different arcade controllers using 2 separate DaemonBite Arcade Encoders can each of these devices be configured differently in the MiSTer? Or will the MiSTer think they're both the same? Just wondering if it'll be able to distinguish between the two. Than...

Arcade cores using 4-way controls

Anyone have any ideas on how to determine which arcade cores use joystick 4-way controls vs joystick 8-way controls? I guess I could manually search for each arcade core at KLOV but I'm wondering if there's an easier way. If you have any ideas please let me know! :)

Re: First Q*Bert Release

We tried 8:7 with Alan yesterday and I added the diagonal joystick option. We will push another release soon. Hi Pierco, I noticed vertical flip was added to Q*Bert and the option is there after updating my MiSTer but for some reason it doesn't work on my CRT, it does work on HDMI though. I checked another core (Moon Cresta) and vertical flip stil...

Hello netbeui, would you mind sharing with us your list of Vertical Arcade games ? Thanks ! Yup see below. BTW it would be nice if the orientation of games was saved somewhere and then automatically organized in a folder (I'm currently doing this manually): 1941 Counter Attack.mra 1942.mra 1943 Kai Midway Kaisen.mra 1943 Midway Kaisen.mra 1943 The...

Re: Joystick mapping reversed

While not addressing your overall question I would recommend reprogramming the arduino. I had a similar issue as your step #5 and had to change the debounce settings as described: CODE: SELECT ALL #define DEBOUNCE 1 // 1=Diddly-squat-Delay-Debouncing™ activated, 0=Debounce deactivated See the thread: https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?f=32&t...

I have an old HotRod arcade joystick that works great with my MiSTer but I was having trouble getting all buttons to work in any Street Fighter games. So I decided to rewire one set of the controls in the stick to a DaemonBite arcade encoder , I now have 2 USB cables coming out of it and it's now recognized as 2 separate USB input devices (1 is rec...

After I create the sub folders using an underscore how do I put the game names in those folders? Is it simply copying MRA files into the folders or some other method?

I’d like to create 2 sub folders for the arcade games in MiSTer; 1 for vertical games and 1 for horizontal games. I don’t mind doing this manually, I’m just not sure how to do it. If someone can point me in the right direction I’d really appreciate it! :)

Griffin Powermate USB "Dial" Not Recognized

When I use my MiSTer with my Griffin Powermate plugged into one of the USB ports it's not recognized. Usually the lower ring lights up blue but it doesn't light up when connected to the MiSTer. Any idea what I need to do to get this working? I'd like to use it with spinner games if possible.

Re: Anyone using an X-Arcade?

I have an older HotRod Joystick that is over 20 years old... I modded it a while back with a IPAC2 (it shows up as USB keyboard), there are probably better options to rewire it by now. Still, it works great with my MiSTer. For 1 player, my favorite is the Hori Real Arcade Pro VLX. The encoder board it has is a bit slow though, so it needs replacem...

Hi just wondering if there's any harm in leaving the 5v jumper on the IO board for the VGA port, it's required for Antonio's SVIDEO/Composite device but I want to make sure it won't be a problem to leave that jumper in place even when I use the VGA port for Component video (YPbPr).

Re: Default scanlines on for all cores

They should save your selection after the first time, so you shouldn't have to turn them on each time. Also, different cores look better with different scanline types, so you'll always get the best result if you adjust them individually the first time. Cheers, Looks like MiSTer isn't saving my settings. For example I launch Donkey Kong, press the ...

Default scanlines on for all cores

Hi I searched the wiki and forums but can’t find a solution for this. Is there a way to enable scanlines for all cores that support them? Every time I boot an arcade core or console core, etc I’m going into the menu and turning them on, just wondering if there’s a way to have them enabled by default. Thanks!
