Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development
You know an admin is excited about this core when he makes a new topic about it instead of putting it in the Saturn topic. Come on Sergey, open a Subscribestar, I want to give you cash for that BIOS clock setting porn!

Re: Saturn
He was asking about a Patreon alternative, as in a way to donate but not through Patreon. I've emailed Sergey regarding this, he said that Paypal didn't forward to Ukraine banks. I then wrote to subscribestar.com, they said they can transfer payments to a Ukraine bank, so I've forwarded this to Sergey. Let's hope he'll open an account there becaus...

Re: What new console, handheld or arcade core do you think will be released in 2021?
What is the gameplay like without the slowdown accuracy? It's actually one of the projects that some have undertaken to remove slowdown from these types of games. The issue of slowdown in arcade games is rather complex. In some games it might've been intentional, in others not so much, and down to weaker hardware/programming (eg Metal Slug 2). I s...

Re: What new console, handheld or arcade core do you think will be released in 2021?
I don't see why PS1 is possible but not Saturn, they were more or less on par. i was hopeful for the sega saturn as well, until i read some forum posts here - https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?t=335 (which i see youve already posted on) and discussions on reddit/atari forums. the consensus is that sega saturn is possible, but the amount of work...

Re: What new console, handheld or arcade core do you think will be released in 2021?
CPS2 is very close to beta release. this will be a big deal and bring several FGC enthusiasts to the MiSTer. CPS2 is the generally accepted golden era of fighting games from capcom and is my most anticipated core of 2021. PS1 is being worked on (with a different FPGA SBC, but the plan is to port it to MiSTer when its finished) i dont expect to see...

Re: Can confirm Astro City Mini Arcade Stick works with MiSTer
It's so easy to make a custom stick, that I wouldn't be shelling the money for this particular one, hoping to duplicate NeoGeo. Only thing you need is a case, a Seimitsu LS-40 stick, and some PS-14-GN buttons (+ a low latency board like the Brook ZeroPi) :) If you have the time and the skills, that's great, but for most people, this Joystick is gr...

lol, I actually saw your YouTube video with the Genesis core and Aladdin earlier, read your doc and tried exactly that line of config which didn't workNML32 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 12:23 am @the_importer take a look at my Google Sheet and see if any of the settings work for you. I get a scrambled image on my Toshiba 20AF42 using component out
EDIT : I solved my issue by renaming my config folder, the issue was not the Mister.INI file but the core configurations themselves since I used fancy options like fake scanlines for my HDTV. I renamed my old folder to .HDMI for my HDTV settings using FileZilla (my MiSTer has a Wi-Fi dongle) and when I want to go back to my HDTV, I'll rename the c...

There was no "Mame" directory in "Games" and moving it there didn't change anything.

SEGA SYSTEM 1 Can't load any games, just loops back to the menu.
Hi there, When I try to load a game, it just loops back to the game menu. So I think I followed the instructions properly, this is how it's setup when looking vie FileZilla: https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/31528940/89184946-75a02a00-d567-11ea-9bab-2dffd6780078.png https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/31528940/89184945-75a02a00-d567-1...

Re: Be Aware of the Edimax EW-7811Un Wi-Fi Dongle
YMMV, however it could be that you need to upgrade your PSU? I had a similar issue with my Asus WiFi dongle. I got a new PSU (4a) and everything just works fine now. But it had no issues before it hit 6 months using the same PSU. Also, it doesn't explain why the thin got piping hot after being plugged in my PC for 2 minutes. Both the 7811UN and 78...

Be Aware of the Edimax EW-7811Un Wi-Fi Dongle
Yesterday, I turned on my MiSTer FPGA just to find out that i didn't. Originally, I linked it to the Y cable that I using for the USB Hub since not using worked, but then I bought a pair of Y cables, but neither of them worked. So I started playing around a bit. -I removed the power switch out of the equation and when I plugged the FPGA with Y cabl...

Re: Saturn
I don't think anyone's saying it's impossible, just that it's too big of a project to take for granted that it will happen anytime soon. Again, the same things were said about the systems I mentioned. I think the big achievements for the rest of the year will be: 32X, CPS-1, CPS-2, SEGA 16, Atari 7800 and maybe another handheld like NEO-GEO Pocket...

Re: Saturn
meh, back on the old forums, people use to say that SEGA CD, NEO-GEO, GBA and SNES SA-1 probably wouldn't be possible until they actually got released. Where there's a will there's a way I guess. My theory is that we'll get PS1 and N64 first and after that, the top dogs in FGPA development will bang their heads together to produce this final import...
