Re: So Robert Peip (FPGAzumSpass) Is Working on a New Core...
Euh? No we didn't. Some person was working on a non-MiSTer core, abandoned it, then Robert started his core from scratch. Hmm, I’m pretty sure that guy had come out and said he’d be porting the core to MiSTer at some point, so his was the core everyone was expecting would come to MiSTer at first. At least, I think….maybe I’m misremembering. You're...

Re: So Robert Peip (FPGAzumSpass) Is Working on a New Core...
Well we had a similar situation with the PSX core, it was in work for years, Robert jumped in and basically produced a well working core within a year.. the other one, was it ever finished? Fine if a well working Jag core comes out before he is done, but he is definitely the man who can push out such a core in record time! Euh? No we didn't. Some ...

Re: So Robert Peip (FPGAzumSpass) Is Working on a New Core...
My first thoughts were directed towards 3DO or Virtual Boy. However, based on the clues that he has given on his Patreon page (including a screenshot), my bet is now on a different beast. With this in place, I'm now able to try and run all kind of homebrew or original software. While most fully-fledged programs won't do anything yet, being able to...

So Robert Peip (FPGAzumSpass) Is Working on a New Core...
Knowing that he mostly does consoles and assuming that it's not something that we already have or that's being worked on, what do you think it is?
-Virtual Boy: Would make sense, he's done 3 portables so far
-NDS: He's already worked on a non-MiSTer core in the past
-3DO: Cause why not?
-CDi: For shits and giggles
-PC-FX: 失敗した日本語専用コンソールを望まない人はいますか?

Re: Why is the time never right in my main MiSTer core?
Timezone? The time zone is correct in my router. Is there a way to set a time zone in the MiSTer configuration? Yeah, same thing happens to me. If I unplug it from the internet and turn off the Mister the date and time will go back a couple of days. I don't leave my MiSTer on 24/7, this should not be a solution. Try to search the forum, there is s...

Why is the time never right in my main MiSTer core?
My MiSTer setup is plugged via Ethernet and my router has the proper time and date, so why is the time always off in my main MiSTer core?

Re: Can anyone explain to me the additional button mapping feature in the cores?
Ah, unfortunately I don't think this feature works that way at all. Both mappings are always active simultaneously, you can't quickly flip one on and the other off. Easiest thing would be to have something recognized as a different controller (different VID/PID) which will save a different mapping. For example, the m30 2.4ghz USB when using the 2....

Re: Can anyone explain to me the additional button mapping feature in the cores?
Hmm, this was not the results that I was expecting. My goal was a simple one. Take MegaDrive games for example. I like the following configuration: C: Jump B: Main action A: Secondary action That being said, some games have different button mapping and no option to remap them. So though I could swap between 2 button configurations per core. Any sol...

Can anyone explain to me the additional button mapping feature in the cores?
A bit ashamed to admit this after 3 and a half years, but I have no clue how the additional button mapping feature works once you're inside a MiSTer core. Everytime I tried messing with it, it doesn't seem to work. Any good docs on this feature out there?
Cheers

Hi, To convert save from Everdrive is quite simple most just need rename to sav extension to work. FLA 65.6kb rename to sav works on GBA core FLA 131kb rename to sav works on GBA core srm - 32,8 kb rename to sav works on GBA core EEP 8.2kb rename to sav works on GBA core The only one doesn't work is : EEP 512 bytes is not working Hmm, still kind o...

Any GBA flash cart where the save files are MiSTer compatible?
Hey there,
I know the EverDrive GBA save files are not compatible with the GBA MiSTer core without any sort of conversion, but is there any other flash cart out there that would have compatible save files?
Cheers

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development
This isn't the point, but it looks like he's been working on I/O logs for various Saturn chips, most recently the SCP a few days ago . Github has a nifty contributions graph on his main page that shows his activity, which is about as steady as you could hope for from someone working in a war zone with limited internet access. I only had his Saturn...

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development
For people wanting a script for the Saturn core, this claims to update that for people. It's not mine, and I haven't used it either, so it's your choice and don't blame me if it blows your house up, kills all your pets and steals your car. :) I does seem that people are starting to write their own update scripts now though, particularly for the ar...

Re: N64 Core Possibility? (Update! Robert Is Working On This Core!)
It’s an interesting question. I’m pretty sure Terasic is well aware of the MiSTer. If I had to guess, the majority of their sales comes from the MiSTer community. I think it all boils down to how profitable each DE10-Nano is for Terasic. If they make a good profit per unit, then of course they’d scale up and eventually release a successor. If that...

Re: Games Consoles Not On MiSTer And Their Viability (A Discussion)
Outside of getting our finished Saturn and NGP core, the only thing I would want it a VB and 3DO core. N64 would be nice if they could do the impossible, but I got an original console with an Everdrive mainly because they odds are under 5%.

Most of the cost went into paying SEGA for the licence, get the 8BitDo M30 2.4GHz controllers instead.
